i'm torn between my admiration for neil lennon the player and my fear of neil lennon the untried manager who lost the only game that meant anything in his caretaker games.

Voted "Can't make my mind up yet". Cause it's true. Lol. A want him to be brilliant but it's the inexperience that keeps creeping up. The "what if" scenario. Keeping the faith though.

Pretty gutted in all honesty but I won't put a dampner on everyone elses optimism.

Never signed a player in his life, got beat in his 1 meaningful match as a manager and has a past of being a wind up merchant.

I loved Lennon the footballer just as much as the next guy, I love his character and his passion for Celtic but I reckon being given the reigns to our club as your first managerial post is beyond farcical and Celtic should know that more than any other club after the Dalglish and Barnes debacle.

Everyone has their own view as you will have yours, don't troll members for having a view other than the same as yours.

Completely underwhelmed by Lennons appointment. Cheap option, third choice again.
The teasing comments by Lawwell about it being well worth the wait were designed only to sell season books, and have left a sick taste in my mouth.
The only reason people are getting excited about this is because he's Neil Lennon "Celtic Legend", and thats why the Board are getting away with it.

How would people feel if Stephen Pressley was appointed?

He has a similar background, both ex-Celtic players, Club Captain material, played for their country, involved in coaching before moving into management. In fact you could easily say that Pressley has more management experience, so therefore was a more suitable candidate.......but I'm guessing theres not one person who would have wanted him as Celtic Manager.

Can't think of any other manager who will have the players playing with passion for our club. As for experience, Benitez at Liverpool had all the experience (and money) you could hope for, but did NOTHING in the last 5 years. Good luck Neil.:notworthy

    PS, I voted yes.

I can't say I'm overwhelmed at the appoinement. Reid saying they didn't offer anyone else the job really left a sour taste in my mouth, what exactly have they been doing then?
On the otherhand more than any other manager we've had I want Lennon to succeed, he is a true modern day Celtic legend and he will fight for this league anf for our cause with everything he's got, and he'll make the players do the same.
But i voted no, cheap option, because thats what he was
