To Misun being injured i think it was in pre season in australia he did a ligament or something like that so he was out all season but he should be back for this pre season, not a player that gets regularly injured, just those one of freak injuries i would hope :)

Konchesky wont come to celtic IMO, hes had a great season and could get into most EPL teams and would cost a hefty fee. Wallace is the obvious choice here unless lennon has something special up his sleeve!

I wouldn't mind scrapping the whole LB and RB positions and switching back to the 3-5-2 formation having three big guys at the back same as the O'Neill years.

in a formation like that your wide man need to have lots of stamina and energy, and need to have lots of pace like we did back then.

Of course, lets sell one of our most consistent players of the last few years (hinkel) and on top of that play a 21 year old attacking midfielder at left back.....ffs

This is a position we need to get right for a change, regardless of whether or not our standard formation will change to a 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 or not, there will be many times over a season when a flat back four are required. Guys like Mulgrew and Dixon just wont cut it, Wallace being marginally better but with added baggage of being Riordan MkII. Hopefully the suggestion of Stephen Crainey was a joke.

Hopefully we'll be looking at international standard players, Khalid Boulahrouz would be ideal if we are looking to switch between a back three and four throughout the season as he can play both positions, though its possible/probable he may be out of our reach. Others are Aleksandar Kolarov, Dusko Tosic, Aleksandar Lukovic (may be available on a free), Simon Poulsen.

you may laugh, but garry keneth has been one of the most improved young players in the spl this season, the type of player lennon is looking to bring in. hes a no nonsence defender, can tackle, is strong in the air and doesnt get bullied, the type of player you need in old firm games. his long throws can get you out of trouble when you are under pressure and can be a wepon in the oppositions half of the park.

he can also play as a left back or a centre half, and he will only improve in a better team and against better opposition.

James Perch. Saw him play for Forest a few times this season and he looked really good.

No been keeping up to date with Kolorov, just googled him and read Real Madrid are rumoured to be after him, guess he'll have better options then!

Tosic was getting rave reviews by QPR fans saying he was way above championship level. May well be a short term burst of form, but i'd have him over Mulgrew.

Poulsen can play both, was being track by 'them' which would add 'rubbing their noses in it' value :84:

He's played right across the back line.

Are you having a laugh? Why the persistance with Crainey, what has he done to merit a move to us?

If a guy cant get a call up to the weakest position in the Scottish national team, then he's not good enough to play for Celtic.
