rogne i agree when he hasnt been injured he has been a rock. then we move on to thompson who is utter pish, has no pace, cant head a ball and is not strong mentally he is a terrible defender who we should sell to a league 1 club where he belongs

Would be a brilliant signing! And i would give him the captaincy straight away! His experiance and leadership alone would be great! Miller and Laugherty wouldnt know what hit them! However i think his heart lies with arsenal and i think he will stay but you never know! I always thought robbie keane would never come to celtic when he was still top class and i was wrong so lets hope and pray!

Lenny’s out to build a new Celtic around me | The Sun |Home Scotland|Scottish Sport|SPL
SOL CAMPBELL has felt the full force of Neil Lennon's wrath in the heat of playing battle.

Now he has listened to the passion of him as a manager-in-waiting.
And everything the Arsenal legend knows about Lennon makes him believe signing a two-year deal with Celtic could be a GREAT move.
SunSport, ahead of the game as usual, revealed Celtic's stunning bid to capture Campbell, 35, on a free transfer.
We then told how Lennon planned to build a new team round the man mountain.
Campbell was happy to confirm all of that and more in his first interview with a Scottish newspaper since our exclusive revelation last week.
He was honest enough to admit the Gunners remain favourites to keep him in a new 12-month deal.
But Campbell, offering genuine hope to Lennon that he could beat off competition from Arsene Wenger, also stressed Celtic ARE prominent in his thinking. And in a clear message to the Parkhead board he insisted he needs to hear confirmation of Lennon as boss before making a decision.
Campbell - over 200 games for Arsenal and six major tournaments for England - said: "Neil impresses me. He's come into the job late in the season and that's never easy. But he's done fantastically well.
"Neil told me he's looking for me to be a figurehead in the team. He's made it clear he's looking for more leaders all over the team.
"Neil wants that kind of mentality at the club.
"I know he's not yet been confirmed as manager, although there is an expectation he will be.
"Who knows what will happen? But, yes, it's important for me to know who the manager will be.
"Neil clearly understands what's needed at Celtic and I appreciate his interest.
"But we've still got to properly negotiate and the figures might not stack up.
"You just don't know what will happen. But so far the talks with Neil have been good.
"Of course, I would have to come up to see the club before I made any commitment. I'd need to see Glasgow.
"Celtic is a serious possibility, but I am also talking to a few other clubs.
"I'm also giving Arsenal the respect they deserve.
"If the situation at Arsenal doesn't resolve itself I know how interested Celtic are.
"And, yes, I'm seriously considering it."
Since early May, as Lennon handed the Celtic board a transfer wish-list, Campbell's had Celtic as an option.
The sceptics down south don't think for a second he will commit to the SPL.
And, to be fair, Campbell admits he first has to rule out Arsenal from his thinking before he heads anywhere else.

Whatever he does, he is anxious to treat everyone concerned with respect. That underlines the kind of class act Lennon's trying to secure for the Hoops.
Campbell said: "I've been aware of Celtic's interest for the last two to three weeks.
"I've tried to be as open as I can about my situation.
"A lot of people expect me to stay at Arsenal and I've never hidden my feelings for the club. It's a big decision I have to make and I'm considering everything carefully.
"I've been proper with everybody. I'm not trying to play clubs off against each other. That's not me at all.
"I think Arsene knows that and Neil knows it.
"I'm getting married next July, so I'd at least like to sort something out by the end of next month."
Campbell laughed as he recalled Premiership clashes with former Leicester City ace Lennon.
The uncompromising centre-half came up against the fiery red-head who was Martin O'Neill's midfield general when he was with first club Spurs.
Campbell's never shied from confrontation in his football career and he loved his pitch battles with Lennon.
He said: "Neil as a player didn't given any quarter on the pitch.
"He was a tough opponent and if he ever had anything to tell you he would make sure you knew about it - LOUDLY!"
Campbell's not approached anyone yet within football to get another view on Celtic.
But if that were to become his thinking then he pretty much knows who would get the first call - old Spurs pal Ramon Vega.
Campbell said: "I know Ramon Vega played for Celtic and we were team-mates at Spurs.
"But I haven't spoken to him yet.
"I am aware, though, that Ramon was successful up there and he really enjoyed his time with Celtic."

    No not typical Celtic.

Celtic have always aimed to conduct there transfer business privately and will only announce something when they have officially signed. Which imo is the right way to go about things.

I was unsure about him at first but now think it could be great for us.I'd have him as captain, hes just the experience we need and i dont see why he couldn't be a hit like granda weir is with rangers plus campbells younger. Lafferty and miller wouldnt know what to do if they come up against him next season.

Its also now on the telegraph site, really hope this happens now.

Could take the captaincy I think. Don't know who I would pair him with but ? Maybe try him out with Rogne/O'Dea. He's the mentor the two of them need.
