I didn't hear many Hull fans complaining when he was fit and winning their team games without much support from the rest of their pish team, he was widely regarded as their best player and from the games I saw him playing he was.
I am worried about the dodgy knee, but look at the job big Hartson done for us and there was worries over his knee

Aye they weren't saying this during the season. They now think they've lost him so "they" are turning on him

    Isn't that a good thing?

I always pop on other boards to see other opinions on players that we maybe signing or have been linked with. It's all good banter, isn't that what football is all about?

As for the post above, I apologise for my opinions on cockneys and gypsies. I'd like to clarify that I haven't come on here to cause an arguement or anything like that, just came to give my opinion, I've also done the same with George Boateng, who I believe would be a good signing for you lot.

Sorry if any offence has been taken.

By all accounts Bullard was exceptional before his second injury. He played some good football and showed desire. It was after his injury at Villa Park where he has gone down hill, he's lost his bottle and he's just been playing poorly. Which to some extent is understandable, but not when your club is financially in the mire and you're paying him £45,000 a week.

You cant complain about wages just because a player gets injured but not when hes in the team playing well.

Nice one Dag. Cheers for giving us a Hull perspective on things.

Gotta say I agree. Jimmy caused problems at Hull last season, more than he solved. Between being on the injury table and * off his team-mates he wasn't worth the money they were paying him at all.

Why do we need Bullard when we have Ki dying to make an impression?

I suppose I'd take Boateng on for a season just to add a bit of steel, experience and professionalism to the side. But I can't see him being of any value beyond that.

Bullard is a better player than Ki....just now.

Who did Bullard upset at Hull? He was loved at Fulham.

SO we have Bullard for a season sucking up wages and stunt Ki's development? Don't think so.

He * off Barmby I know that much. The team were unhappy with the fact everyone considered them a 'one man team'.

1 man team is better than the no man team we had last year, Jimmy will do a job for us up here no doubt

It doesnt have to stunt ki. Regardless i am concerned about how celtic perform this season...not how KI develops....that is a by product that i hope works out.

Bullard and Barmby were playing in a charity golf tournament as a double at turnberry last month. They are good mates.

Perhaps tabloids have twisted some folks thoughts

The wages has always been an issue, at the end of the day Hull is a working class City, and to be fair, the majority of our supporters are more bothered about a player giving 100% than been the best player in the world. In an ideal world we'd all love to be supporting the best team in the world, but we're happy for what we've got after many years in the basement division. A lot of people feel Bullard has come and made a mockery out of our club, which he's not completely at fault there, at the end of the day when you're offered £45,000 a week, who's going to turn it down. Paul Duffen our former chairman has got us into all this mess. People were delighted when we signed Bullard our record signing, he was the best thing since sliced bread. Then reality came when he got injured after playing a massive 37 minutes of football in the black and amber shirt and was out injured for 10 months.

People didn't complain then, it was when people started to see him splashing the cash in the local bars getting * up consistantly. He's been rumoured to have been involved in a lot of fights with locals about the way he goes about town. He's been in one of the local bars and bought a drink with a £50 note and said "keep the change, I don't need that on my wages" which in Hull, a place which isn't the richest by all accounts caused a lot of trouble. There's a lot of similar stories about Bullard kicking about.

He then came back from injury, and played a good month. He got Premier League player of the month for November I believe it was, and we all thought we'd hit a turning point. He was playing well and he had the rest of our team playing well. Then unfortunately against Villa he got another injury, when he came back from this injury he was poor. Like i've already stated, no tackles poor passing etc. He's also still consistently on the lash, which fair enough go out get * but only if you deserve to. I understand that it's very difficult if you're coming back from a long term injury, it must have been very frustrating for him, but you've got to have teh discipline when you're a Premier League footballer.

I'm sure if you do sign him, you'll see the cheeky chappie Jimmy Bullard and, what a wonderful character he is to have around at first but then he'll slip into his comfortable ways. Fulham fans had previously warned us about this but you sort of laugh it off thinking they were just annoyed he was leaving the club, but they were right.

Like I say, I hope it all works out for you, and you and us get the best deal out of it all. Still he does seem to be taking his time on making a decision so he may not join anyway.

if Hull are a working class city and dont want to pay big wages you need to take it up with the board. The club played plenty players big wages. JVOH, Geovanni...the list goes on.

The current board at the club are not to blame. Adam Pearson, currently in charge is seen as a * amongst Hull fans, he previously saved us from exstinction back in the early 00's. It's Paul Duffen and co that are to blame for our wages and he got his stick trust me on that. There's so much expectation from Bullard that's why he's taken a lot of stick, he was our £5m record signing. JVOH, is one that really put the effort in for the club, he may not have done a great deal but he did enough effort wise to please the fans.

Anyway enough of our board this topic is about Jimmy Bullard...

yeah we are talking about bullard. He was £5m...not a fortune in premiership terms. There was little complaints when he signed you will admit as he was hailed as a top quality signing. He got injured after hard tackles. it happens.

Ah JVOH was ok as he put more effort in. Not something ive ever seen lacking in Bullard.

I really hope we don't get him & I'm * off with Lenny that he even wants him.

He's had some hard luck with injuries, but he's turned to drink (apparantly) instead of working harder in the gym etc.. like Maloney & Kennedy.

He's on WAY TOO MUCH MONEY & he now expects to get paid that, I'd hate for us to sign him & I'd much rather keep who we have or get in Whittingham or Ledley from Cardiff at less than 1/2 the wages.

In fact, I wouldn't be going anywhere near the EPL for any signings, the Championship is bad enough - such overpaid, overindulged, big headed wanabees - look at how England crumbled at the WC & the blame everyone, but the players...sorry, but it's not where we should be looking for players, just cos MON got a lot of good ones 10 years ago - times have changed an awful lot down there since then, it offers us no value whatsoever & that includes Keane & Bellemy too.

Joe Ledley is far superior to Jimmy Bullard. I'm suprised he's not been snapped up by a Premier League club. Now he would be a fantastic signing.
