Old Firm Clash in Boston

I don't really mind this idea.

The main issue for me, is that we will be slightly easing their financial difficulties, which goes without saying - this is something we don't want to do. Of course it's going to take a huge amount more than an Old Firm game in the USA to ease the huns financial difficulties. It all helps though and that's exactly what we don't want to do, help.

 

Well the Red Sox are playing at 3:35 out in Oakland so I think for t.v. purposes they would probably schedule it later to avoid a conflict of interest? Since they are already scheduled to play out on the west coast, they wouldn't be rescheduled on that day either, usually only off days are saved for that purpose. Not sure about that rule, but I'm sure they will find a way to make it work either way.

I'm not sure it'll be televised. Did they broadcast the Bruins' exhibition game?

 

I didn't mean the OF game would be televised. We were talking about some rule that involved television rights excluding events being held at MLB parks after 6pm or something of that nature. I was saying that they would want to schedule it later after the Red Sox game so people have the chance to watch that earlier and then head out to the football game if they'd like.

Once again bhoys...... after reading the papers today,this is why we dont want to be known as " the old firm fans". It is guilt by association with Scotlands shame. I am glad the Boston Globe highlighted the fact that the rangers fans have caused kaos around europe for many years. And the only thing the numbskull from rangers football trust ( Stephen Smith) could come up was the fact that the Boston Globe brought up the Ibrox disaster, I hope this game does not go ahead for the simple reason being that i dont want our club's name tarnished.

I don't want it to go ahead either. Why the * would we want to play Rangers in a friendly in the US? It'll be absolutely nothing like a real OF match and never will be. It'll be a cheap corporate replica.
