    Definitely no chance of that.

    A) Can't afford him in the long run.

    B) He hates Scottish pitches (like all the pitches in the EPL are immaculate :87:)

    C) He likes tea in London.

TBH I wouldn't say he is our best player outside keane... he is gready and * up a lot of his fancy play with losses and poor end results whether it be a cross or an attempt at goal.. We don't need a circus act just someone who can do the job.

As for our top man Keane... where was he today, can he not run with a ball and make an attack himself.. always seems to be having to be laid on to his runs which obviously his time with us the team needs to know how he works. Can't recall a goal where he has tried to make a run himself but has depended on others to play the ball over on his run to get the credit of the one setting it up which has probably taken just as much if not more skill. Other than that he can score penalties. £65k a week ... waste of money on a loan deal

FFS it was Ross County could he not create something himself against a 1st division SPL team.. No wonder he's sitting on the bench at WHL

Keane has scored 12 goals in 13 games he was brought in as a striker and he has scored goals , we have struggled for a penalty taker for some time now, at least he has the backbone to step up and take them with confidence, i agree 65 grand a week is a waste of money but what more can keane do he is only one man by the time he arrived the horse had bolted ! as you said youself it is a team game!

At the end of the day Keane needs to show he is that true Celtic Bhoy, not just come in because he isn't getting games at his present club. He needs to bond within the the Celtic Players so as they get to know his way of play, that wont work over a couple of months play.

To me I see it, I can say I played for Celtic and got 65,000k a week... but now his reputation has been tarnished he has been in the squad of 2 of the worst defeats all within the space of a month

TBH he has became the laughing stock as you can obviously see around the net

Keanes reputation has not been tarnished his scoring rate is excellent, it is celtic that are the laughing stock. roy keane played in a celtic side that lost to clyde dont think his reputation was tarnished as a result.

Listening to the post match interview that Lenny gave to the BBC (there are threads on this elsewhere, but I will add link below if anyone hasn't heard it), he concluded with an intersting statement about some people at the club taking fans for granted. Me thinks he was not just talking about the playing staff either.

After yet another poor performance naturally the players would have had to expect to come in for some stick. After all, they are collectively the highest paid footballers in this country with a profile to match yet too rarely do they appear to be a team and far too frequently merely a collection of individuals.

Sometimes I think we have become a little too precious and priveledged upon reflection over the team's efforts in the past 10 years, and that some people have forgotten how to be a little bit gracious in defeat and admit that Ross Co. deserved the result yesterday. It wasn't a fluke, and that it took 2 pretty good goals that were worthy of winning any semi-final anywhere in the world.

We have no divine right to win anything. It has to be earned. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Messi might have scored the goals and got the headlines for beating Arsenal, but it wasn't Messi alone, it was a team effort. Trouble is, we don't even look like a team.

So when the team bus pulled up at Parkhead and the players disboarded we can see the reactions and the personalities on display. Sammy copped his fair share of the flak, but would still sign an autograph, Keane likewise, and I imagine most of those players were pretty disappointed in themselves, if not embarrassed by their collective efforts.

Fair dues to Lenny for taking the time to answer what must have been some barbed and loaded questions - you expect that of the man, but even he must accept a share of the responsibility, and I am sure he is hurting.

As for the likes of O'Dea and McGeady, well, there are any number of stories of encounters that people have had with these guys in public, so I guess it doesn't surprise that they would react in such a manner. It doesn't lessen the disappointment that I feel in them, but not surprised.

The really annoying thing about this is we were only a goalscorer away from 4 in a row.all Mowbray needed wAs a left back, centre half, a midfielder and a striker and he would have cantered the league instead of ripping the team to pieces so the board have the most to answer

I feel a lot lower. At least then we were getting far in Europe and actually challenging for trophies. The players actually showed an ounce of commitment and gave 100%.

The problem I have with giving the job to Lennon is quite simply I do not want to see a Celtic man of his stature and calibre, (clearly shown in the report above) making an * of it due to inexperience. This is a big job with no margins for error, experience is key!!

I agree totally with you on this.

It's important a place is found for Lenny as someone with his passion for the club is exactly what we need. Unfotunately, now is not the time to be taking a chance on an inexperienced manager.

I'd like to see someone come in who could teach Lenny the management game and have him ready to take over in a couple of years.

Unfortunately, not sure who could take this role on.

Whoever replaces Lennon (If indeed he is replaced) will end up with the same abuse being thrown at them as Mowbray did unless he wins things for us. I mean the league first and foremost. He might be heralded by some at the start ala Mogga but if he ends up losing out to the Hun again he'll be told to get tae *. It's the players who have to show they are worthy of playing for our precious club now. I didn't see one player yesterday worthy of donning the hoops.

    Exactly right.

I don't know what it is but too many fans want to make hereos out of * average players. There is a thread on which players to keep from the current squad and Paul Caddis seems to be named in most posts. Why? He's average at best and is not the way forward for us.

I suspect the fans reaction to WGS when McGeady was dropped was the beginning of the end for him at Celtic.

Give him the job, clear out the non triers and get back to playing for the jersey. The problem is not lack of ability, almost all of the players in the squad will attract bids/offers from other teams. Let them go where it is only a game being played.
At Celtic it should be a way of life.

neil lennon is the only guy at the club who i have any respect for anymore.* the rest of they useless lazy *.every last one of them can take a run and jump for all i care after yesterday.mcgeady thinks he's fukin messi.....when will he realise that he is *.you would think losin the ball every 5 min would help you realise.these players just aren't good enough.i though before this game that we were back on track but now i feel this team is the worst of the worse and we will be lucky to finish third imo.......a fukin discgrace and they should all be ashamed of themselves.guys earning £200-300 a week struggling and paying over inflated prices for that *.if they players had the least bit of respect for the fans they would donate some of there fortunes to paying back the fans who travelled from far and wide to support them yesterday and got * all in return

The only person to come out of yesterday with any credit was Neil. I don't think yesterday was his fault at all. His honesty is very refreshing and it's the only way a man like him could be. Would love to see him stay on as a coach.
