I think Lenny could be the new Martin O'neil or at least attempt too be him. He played majority his career under martin O'neil so will probably try and adapt his style of play which i have saw signs of already, even in press conferences. He says he wants too play alot more high tempo and direct which is the style of O'neil. He wants brown to be like Petrov also. He has also talked about giving the side the mentality to go to the whistle and also be alot more aggresive and phsyical. I think he deserves one season too try and put his stamp on the team and bring in his type of player.

I think he will bring in a team of leaders which i hope also includes Mcmanus.

It's too early to say, he certainly has the potential to be a good manager but if he gets his chance at Celtic i don't know, he said himself he will phone O'Neill for advice so he will try to be similiar but still to soon to say.

He could well be a great manager but lets see where things go first. Just remember the more we talk him up the further he has to fall.

Very true but I do hope he gets the chance to prove himself. Even if he does have to clean up Mogga's mess.

MON was a one off, the same as Moyes, Ferguson etc.. etc..

You cannot becoming a certain manager. Lennon will take things from what he learned with MON, thats obvious, the way lambert will adjust some of his thinkings to Hitzfield, MON etc..

Every Celtic supporter wants Brown to be the new Petrov, the same way Strachan would have.

And McManus a leader, do you watch Celtic dude?

Roy Keane played his whole career under Clough and Ferguson, he aint no Clough or Ferguson. If we lose to the hibees sunday and dundee utd win this weekend to close the gap to 2 points, the call for an experience manager will be deafening. So lets wait and see.

We will get enough of an idea of how he will handle being number 1 in the run in. Has all the qualities of a great leader, but that doesn't automatically make a great manager.

Im open to it but he'll need to earn it.

Lennon will be the first Lennon. Maybe he'll be with Celtic, maybe he'll not. Maybe Lennon will be a good manager, maybe he'll not.

In my opinion? Too many maybes, too many unknowns and too little experience.

Been too every home and away domestic game this season so i would say yes i do. Since mcmanus has been down in borough the likes of pogatez and Wheater have said he is and hope that he stays. Who are fellow pros. Strachan obviously thought he was. He is a good defender who was lacking in confidence and now that he is down at borough playing he is getting that back and playing good. Certainly better than thomson, O'dea

    I must admit

i thought it was a bad idea letting the boy go down south on loan, but that was mowbray for you...

he is a far superior defender (if not the best) to odea and thompson. but the defense is still a priority to be sorted after 2/3 years.

Well last week I thought Lennys team played a tight passing/pressing game that put me in mind of the WGS sides that won 3 in a row. Much more structure than Mogga ever had. It was after all under WGS that Lenny was assistant manager for a season and a half. He would have learned a lot and unlike a lot of fans he thought WGS was incredible in terms of how he coached players etc. So I expect a lot of WGS in a Lenny side. Lenny after all like WGS will be working with cut price players and will need to give them the sort of structure that makes them more than the sum of their parts. It wont be like MON where a combination of an amazing inheritance of good players and a fee/wage structure that allowed us to go out and buy 4 EPL players existed and made the managers job a lot easier. The next Celtic managers job will be like Watties, getting a lot our of players of modest talent. It can be done. For example, the Forest team (that MON played in) won the European cup twice with ordinary players.

Sorry buddy, but you are getting carried away here, he won one game, and is not the man we need for Celtic, no way, perhaps one day in the future, only if he has done something in management, we cannot afford any more disasters like Mowbray, so NO NO NO!:38:

I agree. Football is a simple game. The key is consistancy and motivation. Lennon had that in abundance. We don't have bad players they played under an un-charismatic manager. Lennon will get them fired up, remember Lennon has played against some of the best teams in europe and won, that comes from understanding the game and managing the team on the field as a captain. Who better?? Moyes won't come near us, Hughs ?? We need what we have at the moment a hardcore Tim!!
