    awright guys :D

At the game today i was thinkin after Keano scored twice, i was thinking how he is just to good for the Spl, his touch etc just a level apart from the rest of the team thats 11 in 11 if am right and people said when he came he was not a goal scorer, i think it's great we get to see him for a while but will miss his magic when he returns to Spurs because tbh he's out of our reach due to transfer fee and let be honest why would he even won't to play in the Spl on a permanant basis. Just wanted to see what u guys thought lol ?

If you mean we will ever see from now on then i agree, but if not then i disagree because Henrik was a better player in my opinion and players such as Lubo, Jinky and such.

TBH that is what we should be getting for £65,000 a week .. expect no less from him against teams of this such a low quality

On the one hand he is a few notches above any other striker in the SPL but on the other I do not think he is amazing or anything. Its more of a sad indictment of the decline of football in Scotland. There used to be loads of Scottish strikers of Robbies sort of level in the SPL right up until the early 90s but them major decline set in. He is a good player but no better than a Mo, Frankie etc. I think in the SPL he gets far more chances than he is used to but he does miss a lot and looks like a 1 goal in 3 great chances sort of striker. * knows what a top top goals machine would score for Celtic in the SPL. Good player but I actually do not think he is all that better than Skippy as a finisher. Robbie is short term and in the summer we will really regret selling Skippy because we will have no natural poacher at the club. Hate to say it but we need a Boyd type player coming in in the summer.

He is class and will be missed. But it will be up to the new manager to replace him and when he does that he is not trying to replace a player but replace the goals

why does keano get abuse off some posters up here? just because he has to go back to spurs in the summer makes him no less of a celt. lay off the abuse and just admire what ye are witnessing. the hun would love to have some 1 of hes class but they dont.

Only in recent years as our funds and Scottish football talent has declined. Even in his position we have had loads of strikers who are as good or better than keane in the past - Henke, Hartson, Sutton, Cadette, Van Hojdonk, Mo, Frankie, Charlie, Viduka etc etc. He is a good player but I wouldnt get too carried away about him.

My comment is not abuse .. it is stating that at that price that is what I would expect to see every game from him in a poor SPL.. Oh it would be great for him to do it week in week out, but unfortunately Celtic cant afford to pay 65k a week for long term so he will go back to Tottenham and sit on the bench and collect his wage or be moved on to someone who can afford it.

His ability is outstanding in the SPL but not in other leagues IMO

IMO if Celtic paid up his wage for the next season we would have him here, he doesn't want to sit on the bench, but he wants the wage

I think if given then chance Keane would love to play for us next year. It really depends on Spurs and I think that's where we are going to be screwed.

Too right only way we will ever see a player like him is if we bring a youngster through and he stays long enough like henrik or petrov did

I think too many people are totally disrespecting the man.he came on loan to prob the worst team in 10 years while still in his prime.what about the other keane who came at the end of his career played 6 months then spouts some * about not wanting to collect a wage while not giving 100% to club.funnily enough he left a hero and straight into mangement.just get off robbie case and be happy we got to see a player of true quality again cos it will be another 5 years til one come along

Robbie Keane is a real touch of class.

I am currently reviewing my opinion that Craig Bellamy is better than Keano. I might have been wrong on that......still thinking it over though.

Not a goal scorer? One of few to score over 100 Premiership goals and an almost 1:2 goal ratio at international level suggests otherwise.

Straight forward Keane is top drawer- I still rember a volley he scored for L'pool fronm outside the box- one of the best that I have ever seen!
A lot of SPL players will want him to leave, simply because he makes them look *! I bet some of our 'Tic players think that too!
