no ones been more critical of the board this season than me,but now we have a realistic chance of winning the scottish cup ive realised this could be 7 seasons in a row with silverware-good going when you think back to the barren nineties when we struggled to finish 2nd or reach a final

every team has there ups and downs. look at the huns, if u had said to a hun during the paul le guen era that in a few seasons they wood be where they are now 10 points infront the hun (once finished humping its sister) would have thought u wer mad. we will recover and we will win

Don't think we ask too much. Yes the 90's were poor but wth what we hav achieved in the last decade we should be constantly & conistently be trying to better ourseleves. Hopefully this season is a one off

Watching the Huns against St Mirren on Sunday, and Dundee last week, and the old firm matches this season, they are rubbish, so we should be easily beating them but we aren't so I wouldn't say we expect too much.

Expect too much??....Celtic should be winning the league every season and if not winning it then at least be competing for it on the last day of the season....

That's expecting too much! Might be what you'd like but you can't seriously expect to win the league every year?

Although considering the financial hardship the huns are going through currently I think we all expected to win it this season. I think you'd of got great odds for the huns to win it by >10pts.

Saying this I expect us to win it next year, and considering this year I'm not sure what that can be based on, so maybe we do expect too much...

at the start of every season I and probably most fans expect us to win the title...winning only the CIS cup in a season in my eyes is a failure...

Why not it is only a two horse race rangers are normally no better than us (unless an idiot manager makes them look good)

Fair enough if we had competiton from 3 4 other teams then yes we couldn't expect to win it every season but we are only against one other team in a very poor league and a very big fish in a small pond.

We are being dragged down by this league at the moment and when we start not expecting to win it then we end up just another SPL club.

Tell me mate have you ever started a season not expecting to win it?

I suppose it depends what way you look at it, on the 1st of August every year if you asked me I'd say I expect to win it, however if you asked me if I expected us to win it say the next ten years in a row I'd say no.

This season hasn't been the best for us but i do think mowbray is a better manager than strachan and can see what he's trying to do this years been difficult cause for half of it we had a team of players who probably knew they were out the door and werent good enough to pull on the celtic shirt so when mowbray came in and tried to get them playing passing football they couldn't do it, this years a transition period but next year when the teams made of mowbrays players i think we'll walk the league and see proper football for the first time in long enough

Definately i have been shocked at some of the things i've saw people on here moaning about.

I've done my fair share of moaning too, but i definately think most Celtic fans of my age don't know their history because we were a very average side back in the 90s. Our glory days were the 60s and we'll most likely never see those kinds of days again.

Scottish football is on a slippy slope downwards and we are never going to get out of it. Hopefully one day the SFA will take a look at how our countrys football is set up and give it a drastic overhaul. That is the only way we'll ever see brilliant performaces again because teams will be forced to come forward if they restructured the league to have more teams therefore fewer games against the same side. As it is the now i feel like if i seen Aberdeen one more time i'll go for someone...

But fans of Celtic definately expect way too much. If one player has one poor game, even if it's a poor game after about 15 in a row of good games (Andreas Hinkel springs to mind...?) then "He's not good enough for Celtic."
