You heard wrong mate. Barca games against * opposition start at 30 euros. To see a decent team ie champions league Real, Atletico, Valencia etc they start at 90 Euro. If you are a member you get a third off.

Which groups? Plus, passion for your club is better than apathy.

What crap do they bring to games then? Are you mixing Ultras and casuals up or are you just entirely clueless about what Ultras are?

Walking out of games isn't something groups do lightly, only if they feel it's absolutely necessary. I completely support it if it's for a just cause. I think with the amount of blood, sweat and tears groups at home and abroad put into supporting their clubs it's understandable that they get * off if they're treated unfairly by the club they're dedicating a good deal of their life to.

Ultras are die hard supporters who support their team above anything else.

Casuals are lads who go to games looking for fights or pre-arrange fights with other casuals.

Sometimes, across Europe, the lines blur but there is a defined and definite difference.

Any chance of not derailing the thread with daft arguments.

There must be offical avenues that we can go down to try and sort something out. Also, people rushing into relocating to the JS lower is ridiculous. Something like this cannot be planned over the internet.

The current singing section is *, and that is soming from somebody who has been there for the past three years. No matter how many people we have singing (and we do have a good few every week) it is lost due to how up we are. It is not attractive to people and the club knew this when they decided upon it.

There is people we can appraoch, i.e. CSA, Celtic Trust etc. An open meeting was held last week and the issue wasn't raised. I will be sure to do it next time.

In the meantime, there is plenty of space in section 445 and a good atmosphere in that section even if it does not travel elsewhere. It will also give everyone the opportunity to meet each other and mingle with the likeminded folk already up there. Meeting poepl at the game and building the support up that way for a decent section is the way to go. Relocations are allowed the whole year round up there and the tickets are cheaper. Even if you want to move at the end of the season, it will still be worth your while to relocate for the remainder of this season and enjoy what games we have left by standing and singing with other tims.

I've got on to a few people about the possibility of holding another meeting to guage the support for something like this. One thing is for sure though, talking on the internet and then not doing anything else is no use.

Short term, you should try and relocate to either 445, 111 or 122. As I'vce said I think it is only our section that allows relocations all year round.

In the longer term, get on to your bus conveners, CSA people, the Celtic Trust etc and try build up support through these routes as they all meet with the club on a regular basis.

No bother mate. It's section 445 too mate, not 444.

As I've said in my post, actions speak louder than words. Move to one of the three sections I've highlighted. What's better than standing next to your mates singing for your team then not having to moan about how * Parkhead is.

    WORKING CLASS

was this not a sport brought out for the working class, so they could have something to look foward to on the weekends?

i was talking to a lad and he said in Germany that they keep tickets low for this reason and if you look in the bundas liga which i did in yesterdays paper and they do get big crowds

so why are we being * over? and if tickets were a tenner would we still sell CP out?

I sit in 123, my cousin in 122. It still says on our Season ticket renewal forms that it is the family section. Dont think the club will put everyone there.
Put the singing section up the rangers end, so that when rangers come, or any other team for that matter, the singing starts ther, works its way round the ground, and gets them at all angles

Well lads, Ill be looking to hear back from parkhead today, see what happens. The club will prob turn round and say look, we already have a singinging section in 445. That's fair enough. bhoys, do you know what celtic should have done when they where completing the last phase of the stadia in97/98?? they should have dedicated particular sections in the jock stein and from the very start said it would be a singing section, like the new jungle.. simple..!! lol, lets get the jungle bhoys and the green brigade to unite. lets call it the jungle brigade.. hahah!!

Look I can only speak for thousands of fans who want this singing section to really take off, however we also have to consider, women , children, elderly and families aswell. They pay there money just as much.. soooo.. if celtic care about the fans, I have started to fabricate a survey template on the matchday experience at parkhead.. celtic, lets get it on the offical website?? give everyone a say and a fair crack of the whip?? lets see how we could improve things, would we want a new dedictaed singing section, where would it be?? would people re-locate?? etc etc... trust me a new singing section will ignite this diminishing support

I think the lack of atmosphere comes from a number of things:

    1) Attendance being low, I can understand less people coming to the game, even if you have a season ticket the cost of getting to Glasgow unless you stay there is massive, especially if you are travelling from Ireland. Why spend £60-£100 in travelling/ food / drink to watch a team that have no chance of winning the league. If you have 30k in a 60k stadium there is going to be a lot of empty spaces, hard to get a song going with that.

    2) Recession - going with a lot of the reasons above, if you are struggling for cash you would be daft to continue to go to football if it is a choice between paying your mortgage or your football expenses.

    3) Poor quality football - the crowd sing and get excited by exciting football, we haven't had exciting football for years.

    4) Small chance of winning the league - being so far behind Rangers a lot of people will think what's the point.

    5) Celtic being so worried about being labelled bigotted by the Scottish press they have created a place where traditional Celtic songs are frowned upon, making a lot of people scared to sing.

fair point gman. Im not just meaning this season which is a disaster, what about the glory martin oneill years, even he came out and said the atmosphere at league games was very poor. people just arnt happy.Im speaking the last 10-15 years. What about the beginning of the season, when we where on a level playing field with rangers, attendances where still down , obv recession has bit too.my response to your very good post

    1. spot on, ticketing prices and season book costs need addressed

    2. recession?? yes mate, you are right, but the whole uk is in recession, most teams in EPL have a near full stadia every week, why?? the appeal. we dont have it, but you support who you support through thick n thin , throo the hard times.. look at pompey for example.. top drawer fans,, we carry too many glory hunters, get them too *.. I love the tic win lose or draw. all the fans love away gmes??why?? coz we sing like *, we need all the troops together at parkhead mate. what a difference

    3. poor football.. again can only pee with the tadger weev got.. why moan about ?? if ppl dont like, they should go n watch an epl team? celtic through and through

    4. thats this year , fair enough, but im talking in general.

    5. celtic should clarify what songs are permitted and when we sing there's no problem, like the huns did.. although all they did was change the words lol..

    anyway gman.. keep the faith

pompey dont have glory hunter fans becaue they never win anything simple as sure in the 90's we werent gething 60000 fans in the old celtic park these fans only came during wim yansen and mon reign and now maybe because of the lack ov entertainment and bad results there leaving again.
