Just been on the top spl scorers:

BBC SPORT | Football | Scottish Premier | Top Scorers

When was the last time Celtic didn't have a top 5 striker? We have been very lucky over the years but have really struggled this year and last.

If we could get Keane long term than I feel he's the answer: he's got 4 goals (half the number Fortune has) in 6 league games.

To the PLC get him signed...please.

I don't think Keane or Fortune are natural goal scorers, id look more at a Rasmussen type player to be up there among the top scorers!

i think every celtic fan would obviously love it if keane stayed but unfortunately spurs will want a big fee for him, one that we cant afford :54:

I'm not sure if Keane would be worth the money we'd have to pay for him if he was to come here permanently.

If we are to Sign him up and that is a very big IF !! it surely depends who celtic cash in on during the summer ,
I would take him tomorrow and use these last games to get a good partnership going with Rassmussen ..I see that as our future should we be able to get him

I think Ras would be up there in the goalscoring charts if he is played enough as well.

I would take him on in the blink of an eye but like LB said it has to be funded by moving someone on and probaly more .

It's because the choice of strikers have had no more than half a season to challenge for top scorer. Every other club, most of all Rangers have had a settled front 2 ALL season.

McDonald - Half a season (sold)
Fortune - Less than half (injury)
Samaras - Less than half (positional/tactics)
    Rasmussen - A few games
    Keane - Less than half

mmmikey, thats why I think Keane has settled in so well, goals to game ratio is great.

Not really sure about that to be honest.

Since he came, we have lost two league games and drawn( in fairness we were winning when he was on the park vs Aberdeen). This out of 6 games.

Doesn't suggest he is the 'missing link' to me.

He has been good, but far from great.

Great player and will be a sensational signing if we pull it off

Keane isn't getting any younger I suppose, so how much can Spurs realistically expect? Also, how much longer does he has left on his contract?

Sadly though, I still think he'll be out of our price range.

How much do you think we could pay for him? I imagine Spurs will probably want £6.5-7.5 million.

After what keane has seen, i dont think he will stick around, for him to stay we need inteligent players,to link up with him and players that can make that killer pass he is one step ahead.now nakamura would play to his advantage if we still had him sadly our players ditther on the ball and can only make the killer quare ball all day long

They will be trying to recoup the money paid to liverpool last year 18 million. I cant see him leaving for 6.5 to 7.5 million. Id suspect at least 10 for him

someone earlier saying keane wont be keen after what hes seen. i think it will have the opposite effect.keane will see it as a failure.yes, but he is not a failure.i think he would stay, even for another season loan.if not ,i would use mcgeady or brown as a bargaining chip,as i believe redknapp sees something with either of them.

How much is he currently worth and how much would you be willing to pump on him in the summer?
