Is that not almost the same question? You would buy the player you thought was better surely?

It would still be Bellamy for me. Just.

    Why can't we have both!

I voted Bellamy- but imagine the 2 of them in the same team!
Your brain would not be able to keep up!

Loved Bellamy when he was at the 'Tic!:50:

Won't forget his goal at Ibrox- he shut those feckers right up!

TBH, never really gave much thought to comparing the 2 before, but now that I am it is remarkable how much of a close run thing it would be. Have opted for Keane for one reason in particular.

As fine a footballer as Bellamy undoubtedly is, there have been some off field problems that have dogged him throughout his career. Indeed, even the reason he came to Celtic was due to such a falling out with Souness & a number of players at Newcastle.

Keane's presence in the dressing room on the other hand is less likely to make waves, and even on the odd occasion he has incurred a manager's wraith, such as the recent xmas party trip to Dublin, was as a team leader.

Question ,the 2 of them in the one team as your main strike force ,would it work.

I was just thinking about that earlier. I'm not entirely sure it would.

Both of them seem like the kind of forward who likes to play off a main striker. Keano likes to drop off into the space between the midfield and the defence and Bellamy did a lot of his best work while playing alongside Hartson or Shearer. Although Keano does seem to lead the line fairly well for Ireland so maybe he could take that role on.

    Unsure.

What part of this says Keane is a better goal scorer? Is it the fact he's scored more International goals?

Yes as good players can play together, I'm sure both must have played with Dirk Kuyt at times and he is not a poacher. Keane would be intelligent enough to play him in with Bellamy's pace. Some people thought Hartson and Sutton wouldn't work as well as Lennon and Lambert as well.

No comparison bellamy will always be a better player than keane. His explosive pace makes him almost unplayable. I know if i was a defender i'd rather mark keane than bellamy.

as much as I love Keano I went for Bellamy his pace is frightening and would love to see him in the hoops again

in an ideal world we'd have him and Keano up front together :)

Bellamy was/is the more effective player in the SPL at least, in that he could seem to create something from nothing - especially with the explosive pace.

Not checking the stats I'd imagine their finishing skills to be fairly similar, and although Keane's only been here a short time, I still remember Bellamy being more devastating.
