    Fair enought points, but

What will happen if larsson takes the helm and rangers win the treble?? celtic finish 3rd? Larsson would be gettin slated on this forum, like WGS and Mowbray has been.

imagine mowbray will go at the end of the season if we dont win the scottish cup.personally id like to see an experianced manager like hodgson come in.first thing hed do is stop us losing * goals, thats what we need.even with this team wed beat everybody outside the huns as long as we stop giving away goals.thats all that smith done with the huns.

thats why MON walked, the board would not match his ambitions financially.even coyle knocked it back because of the meagre transfer kitty he was told he would be using. slavin bilic wanted the job,but again was wanting too much money to spend for the boards liking. its a shame whats happened to TM but we cant let sentiment get in the way.the odd signings from asia will continue under this board and the selling of players.mcdonald-guarantees 20 goals a season and he is punted?? i dont believe that was down to TM either.bottom line,if we dont get rid of this board the failure will continue.CFC is being treated as a business, not the ambitious football club MON tried to maintain.

When TM got the job it was definately announced through newspapers as being a rolling 12 month contract , and just checked the Scotsman and it did go with the same "Celtic confirmed that Mowbray will operate on a rolling 12-month contract" theme.. Mowbray confirmed as Celtic manager - Scotsman.com News
It was only last week when I heard TM doing an interview that the 4 year thing got mentioned but who knows , maybe there's a re-evaluation and get-out for both parties when each season is over..

i dont think JH could bring much more than TM.he is a middle of the road manager who in general will do well with a squad and not much money.we need someone who can take us foward like MON.havent got a link, but bilic did say he wanted the job,but board said he wanted allsorts of money for players.coyle said no,and it was in papers n,the net etc,he said the board told him there was only money in the excess of 6 million to spend.he obviously thought he couldnt rebuild a team on small change like that.so do we just grin and bare what the board are doing? in my eyes they are ruining the club at the moment, and i think lawell.reid etc should be shown the door.we done it once,we can do it again.

Good digging, Jiko. Think everybody was surprised by TM's revealing of a 4 year contract made last week. As you say, maybe there are get-out clauses or like many occupations there are goals set, which need to be achieved in order to trigger the next level.

There is a need for a balance to be struck, between financial prudence and sacrificing all in order to maximise the bottom line. Simply, gone are the days of giving millions to a manager to bring in a slew of signings and have it. But management is not just about how much they can spend. Amongst other things about developing, motivating, identifying flaws and taking steps to rectify these, basically to bring out the best in the resources available at his disposal.

Because this pish that comes out his mouth,or is that too hard take in,I stopped my subscription to the Celtic View after 10yrs,was going to do it for the last 2 seasons, but this year had enough, just Pravda all over again[if you know what that is?] giving us the View that everything is hunk dory and it will all be alright???? think I have heard this before,so will start getting the fanzines again and get the Views from real Celtic Supporters and not Blah Blah Blah from them, which I thought I would get on hear, but from some of the threads on here it is like reading the Pravda View head in the Sands.:31:

If you go back to MON and look at the reasons why he left???? he and Quinn[the banker]enough said about them, look at the mess they have got us in???? he would not give MON the money to strengthen our team, but look at the money he gave to WGS ??? so I think that is why he left, and this board is just the same,bunglers:38:

Mancini if he gets sacked or Otmar Hitzfeld if he leaves Switzerland!:56: What about Co Adriaanse? At Willem II, he once ordered his whole squad to follow him by car, while they drove 13 km away from their training ground. At a remote spot, all players had to give their car keys to Adriaanse. Then he drove back to town, while the squad had to run in front of his car. Back at the training ground, the players got their car keys back. However, since their cars where still parked far from the training ground, they all had to walk back another 13 km.[3] At AZ Alkmaar he once ordered the whole squad to search for Easter eggs during a training session. They looked for an hour until Co Adriaanse finally revealed there were no eggs hidden.[4] Adriaanse already had these strange training methods at the start of his career, because when he was a youth trainer at Ajax, he sometimes ordered his players to lay on the ground. Then a teammate (with football boots on) would run over the bodies.[5] Because of all these infamous incidents, Adriaanse is sometimes nicknamed "Psycho Co".:56:

Yeah anything that comes followed by dream team is destined for failure. Am sure that was the title that was given to Barnes and Dalglish ?

We all know how that turned out.

That was more cover up by the board! do you think the fans would have been happy if they turned round and said that he wants more money for players to take this team to the next level, but we are too tight arsed and miserable to give him it,so he is leaving. yes his wife was sick, but if that was the only reason then why not take a year out and leave John Robertson in charge of first team matters? the board have no ambition, that is my point, and it is visible more than ever now that we are going back towards the bad old days.
