now what CAN be done?

we've all read the brown appeal thread and we're paranoid thread. everyone has replied the same thing, this has to stop and it's a disgrace and it's blatently obvious , what can be done?
lets get our heads together and come up with some good possible ideas that we can take part in to help the situation we find ourselves in.
please use this thread to post any ideas .
we need to act and soon.

 

im not entirely sure of what route we could go down tbh. our board keep telling us about their collective business experience in various industries including lawyers and accountants so you would imagine if there is a loophole in order to challenge the sfa that they would be aware of it are working on it. I have heard that one of the guys from ch67 has been given the task of collecting all evidence with regards the decisions from this season alone so it looks like we are pushing for change. we must keep pressure on this as there is no point in speaking up and not pursuing it further. i dont believe that stopping to attend away games is the answer as we all need to pull together and support the team, however i guess as the league is pretty much finished that seeing how it goes until the end of the season may let us know if it will work.

 

There nothing we can do, we cant win this fight unfortunately.

Leaving the league which is unlikely but thats the only thing i can think off.

 

When we were on the 3 in a row run under Strachan I was thinking of how many titles we were behind the monkeys and that if we really kicked on we'd surpass it at some point in the next 15 to 20 years.. Then when it all blew up I had the feeling that things like amount of titles didn't matter to the people in charge of the club , and maybe it's not that important to some other Celtic fans , so then I started thinking about the theory that success goes in cycles and for whatever reasons it continues to go in cycles.. That tells me the people who are in the position of power to change things aren't really ruthless enough when it comes to the crunch so now I don't really care about number of titles either.. With that in mind I don't really care about the SPL , and if Celtic felt so strongly that they are playing in a system that is so biased we are being handicapped by officials and being treated unfairly and with contempt by the suits who run the game , then I'd say to them to take whatever action they feel is neccessary and if that meant pulling the club for the remainder of the league with 3 points going to our opposition for each cancelled fixture , and money being returned to our fans for all tickets that won't be used , while paying players wages who aren't even playing , all at huge cost to the club while finishing somehwere way down the league table , and sponsors being unhappy with lack of publicity , then I'd still say do it... I can live without football for another few months as I haven't really seen much football played in the first 9 months anyway.. If Celtic have the balls to stand up against the hun organisation then show exactly how far they are prepared to go to get a level playing field.. Not sure if that's the action the OP wants but why not ?

 

I think we should give up 3rd mabye even 4th places and play our reserves for the rest of the season as a protest. The only reason the browns appeal was turned down was a statement to celtic that the refs wont be pressured. Celtic should therfor have there own statement that if we dont get a fair hearing we will play the reserves.

 

Dont really think thats a wise move. They would be delighted if we done that.

 

Going by their form, they'd probably get more points than the first team!

 

We must prove beyond all doubt that the SFA is no longer fit for purpose, that established procedure is unfair and unlawful (eg the appeals procedure) and that the SFA does not show impartiality.

With patience and care, we could bring the whole charade down and build something better. Better yet, we could book ourselves a one-way ticket out of the SPL forever.

 

i read on another thread somewhere that there was a chance we could hand our notice in to the spl . i was wondering if anyone new anything about this . it could be a good way of exiting to england without the old firm tag. we might have to endure a few seasons watching us play pish opposition, but lets face it , we have done so for over 100 years. if anyone has any idea how this would work , please let me know. have any teams done this in the past.
