Magic? I'm not convinced

but it doesn't mean Celtic is not important for him. No, he always say that Celtic is the club that he want to play for to the end of his career . It's natural that national team is something you can't compare with the club especially if you're not the player of Italy, Brazil, Germany etc who play in every WC. This year WC will be second for Poland since 86...Don't get me wong... Celtic have won the league weeks ago and while there was nothing to play for us Magic could make the same mistake that he made during the game against England... many of you guys have said that it was stupid. it would be also stupid if he would make the same mistake in the Celtic game...

 

All things considered if it was a choice between Hartson or Zurawski, there is NO question in my mind, it would be Zurawski, now whats your opinion on that Joe, yes or no please?

 

What else will he put before playing for Celtic?

 

Hard to answer, if you are asking me who i would play up front next season it would be Miller and Hartson with either Beattie or Magic on to freshen things up later in games. As i've said before, Hartson has done it every season for us, you all know he will score goals. I personally see the others as too similar to be effective, i also know the importance of set plays in the SPL and CL and take John out and you take a major threat out. We'll find out next season though eh?

 

You're not living in Poland so you probably don't know the fact that many people here complain that for Maciej Celtic is more important than national team because he didn't arrive for some matches of our national team lately. He decided to stay in Glasgow and to train and play matches in the hoops.

maybe it's hard to believe but it's true

so I think that both Celtic and national team are very important for Maciej. You can say that he doesn't deserve to play for the hoops if he plays carefully because he want to go to Germany... I'll call him a smart guy. Why? He has helped Celtic in winning the league now he wants to help national team in WC.

 

aye zurawski is a good player, hes the best striker we have in my eyes.

 

Agree totally, i have no time for players without heart. I have great time for magic, i think his work rate and movement is excellent and it will only get better next year when he has a more mobile front man beside him.

Joe, be honest. Maybe I overdid in rating Magic's abilities, but I'm really sure he is better player then Hartson, as well as better than Bellamy.
The reason is simple. They don't score so often. Maybe they fight more, run more, but they don't have this kind of abilities. See stats - how often, comparing to the time spended on the pitch scores Zuraw and how often Bell or Hartson. See how little opportunities he misses.

The word I think is the best in describing Magic's style of playing is "efficiency". He knows what to do to score and he does exactly this.

Look, about his work rate voices are divided. I cannot say how is the matter in Celtic (It's not so easy for me to watch your matches here in Poland), but in Wisla or national team he was the last one to be accused of jogging throughout the match.

One thing more joe - I see that first of all you like players who just fight in the whole match. That's important, obviously. But football is not rugby and saying which player is more valuable for the is not possible only by comparising the agression in smbd's play. Zuraw scores more often, so he is more valuable. It doesn't matter that he's not the type of "Big Bad *" as for example Hartson.


ps. It was f...ng good to see people with Yours flags, in green-white stripes on todays Wisla match, even if I dont know were that polish duds or guests from Glasgow...

Hartson has scored 20 this season like Zurawski. How many did Bellamy score in the 6 months?

 

7 times in the leage, as far as I know. I don't know results from Cup.
