    anyone else * off with the fact that the investment in the team has remained very little yet again like in recent years yet the debt has risen and the turnover has fallen

    The debt has been falling steadily for a few years now, this is the first rise in debt in a while and due to the financial conditions we are faced with (some of which were outside our control) it was to be expected that it would rise.

    Those figures are relatively good, however, it will count for nothing if we dont get it right where it matters - on the pitch.

    the figures are good i agree but i'm a little annoyed at the continued lack of real investment once you count monies recieved from incoming transfer fees when you consider that the debt has risen, albeit, not by much but the turnover is way down.

    Turnover is down so we have less money yet you expect us to increase our spending? The slight increase in debt is because we still managed to invest despite seeing a fall in revenues.

    I was more surprised that we spent as much as we did, even although it was financed through the sale of other players, the fact that we still invested as much as we did surprised me.

    Maybe if the board had invested in a couple of player's last january,we might have won the leauge,,CL place,and these figure's would have been better

    We are going to be rather * when we dont win the league and the huns do and go right into the champs league since this will be the last season the side that wins the league jumps right into the group stages ,

    I find the reaction you get from a large majority of punters amusing. If the media spoonfeed them enough percentages and words like 'downturn' and 'reduction' suddenly we're doomed.

    The long and short of it is the board have backed the manager, we are in a tinpot league during a brutal economic recession and we're still turning a profit. We can't have everything unfortunately and there's no one to blame for pulling Arsenal out the hat in the qualifiers.

    get back to school you, recession=season ticket sales down.
    drawing arsenal in qualifiers= no CL money.
    no naka=shirt sales down.
    robbie keane=shirt sales up.
    peter lawell=player wages down.
    setanta=spl financial meltdown.
    spl=financial meldown.

    i am no TM fan but blaming him for the small PROFIT isnt fair. he is to blame for what happens on the pitch, not for what happens on the balance sheet.

    im sorry, but you cant blame our financial situation of TM. yes if we were winning every game 39-0 then we would be a bit better off.

    but virtually no clubs are doing well financially due to the economic climate as fans dont have spare cash so they dont buy things that they dont need, they dont go to as many games as they would do if they could afford it. also being stuck in the spl doesnt help.

    Doesn't anyone see that we made a profit. Probably one of our lowest in a good few years. We are not in a financial mess. Stop trying to understand something you don't understand.

    Finances are fine... Actually pretty decent for the current financial climate. End of ffs Some "supporters" are worse than the daily hun or the daily ranger.

    Turnover is in the trading account and is used to work out the gross profit taking into account the cost of sales.

    indirect costs in the profit and loss account are deducted from the gross profit to calculate the net profit.

    Tax is chared on the net profit and Danni girl is correct to a point -loses can be carried forward and used to reduce your net profit but these losses can only be used in certain circumstances.

    All in all not good but not worrying either.
