Fans harsh on Samaras

What logic is flawed? Ive given my reasons why I think he's pish and many here seem to agree with me as well. He's second rate and always will be.

Flawed logic my friend, is to even compare him to Chris Sutton, a guy that could play 3 positions and consistently did the business at home and in Europe, based on 'goals to games'.

 

if you think he played well today, i have nothing left to say to you. you have no idea what you're looking at and you are totally comitted to that

 

He's a decent player , but id play Fortune, keane, Ras and Kamamra ahead of him.

 

Sammy is just the type of player who takes longer to reach his full potential. Give him 2-3 years and he will be quality.

 

It's annoying beacuse he could be VERY good!!
Rasmussen , Keane , Fortune and Kamara are all higher up in the pecking order in my opinion!
If he was to get played out wide all the time though you could argue he should be in the starting 11 ..
Anyway , he is a great player to have as back up!

imo i think sammy is a great player, no idea what half you ppl are watching...sum1 mentiond he goes of on pointless dribbles instead of passing....why isnt mcgeady gettin the same treatment then?..ah its becuase he plays for ireland i forgot about that.

 

samy is a pain in the * *! too greedy at times and when he tries to shoot he * it up 9 times out of 10! we should have * him out the door waaaay before skippy.

or maybe its because they know what football is? and can tell if a players good or bad?

 

he was dying for a goal today. not playing for the team. today at least. also i didnt see him celebrate any goal or congratulate the goal scorer. i have always liked sammy but he was not happy with him today.

 

are u watching the same celtic team as me dont think so

 

whats this yin gibbering on about? samaras does go on pointless dribbles because he is a big greedy * who is playing for himself very much the same as mcgeady who is playing for himself aswell..the sooner these two get out of the club we can get players in who will play for the CLUB!!!!

 

Constantly loses possession, greedy and has no awareness of others. Has no anticipation, first touch is *, is getting lazy and does not bother tracking back. Mowbray kept him on and took Kamara off, tells you everything about who will play against Hearts. Contributes very little and is becoming a liability. Last in the pecking order of strikers i'm afraid. His little flashes of genius are few too often now. Just not good enough !

 

Should of sold both Sammy and McGready in January, will get * all for them come the summer because they are getting worse by the game.

Not gonna talk about his footballing skills at all, i ll just let everyone go with his own opinion and what they see in the pitch. Just a few remarks:
First, whoever thinks of Samaras as a greedy footballer, is kinda deluded. Same goes for those who say he plays for himself and not the team. And second, to say that Samaras is not an intelligent footballer, well gimme a break. You can say whatever the heck you want about his first touch, his finishing etc. But you can't argue on facts, such as his co-operativeness, team spirit and unselfishness. (it's even been said that he is slow in this forum )...
It's a given right of anyone to consider him a * player, and there are aspects of his play where i d agree as well. But get a grip... You even blame him for his haircut and his facial expressions. Has anyone ever come and tell you how to react or how to cut your hair?
PS : The fact that i m greek has nothing to do with all that, i m supporting the club, not the players, would have said the exact same for any player if i thought they re being verbally abused with no specific reason. Although i agree that naturally it's easier to accept an Irish player in the team rather than someone from a country you don't probably like.

 

Yes i agree shallow and padantic ! on a serious note sammys a good player wen he wants to be on the other hand (my left) he does go on stupid pointless runs too nowhere. He needs a lesson in how to play the striker role

 

aye ok mate whatever.. i watch this * week in week out and let me tell ye he IS greedy. he has plenty of times to play the killer pass but oh no runs out wide with the ball all to himself, his face trips him when somebody else scores oh and unselfishness? dont even get me started mate could have passed the ball inside several times to keane or rasmussen but wouldnt cause he was tryin to get himself on the goalsheet because the other guys scored...its got * all to do with him being from a country we dont like its because he is *!!!
