shouldnt be played out wide, keane is starting every game no matter what therefore it is up to the other 4 to fight for a place, fortune or sammie would be better out wide than kamara, Ki should be out wide, brown and nguemo up front and mthe mcgeady, that would create a balance in midfield

I'm reserving judgment on him but I am really excited about him signing. I think that he'll prove to be a great buy/loan for us!

Very fast, very strong and very direct.

If he can score goals he'll do fine when he gets a few games under his belt.

Kamara has played left wing plenty in his career. In fact i'd say its his best position as a) he cant head and b) he cant finish (think of Samaras). Most of his club appearances and Senegal too have been wide left of a front 3 (winger).
And i cant remember the thread but someone posted his goals/games and had him scoring over 50 goals in Italy - it was actually only 26 in 5 years (1 year C1, 2 in Serie B and 2 in Serie A).
He's never been a goal scorer - dont know where that idea came from tbh. :D

too early to say after 1 match.. but having seen him on MOTD with his previous clubs, he looks a decent player.

I think he'll be a gd signing for us.

I thought he looked ok but tired after about 30 minutes. I don't think he was playing much at Fulham before he came... could turn out to be a player though. Does anyone know what the price on the option to buy part of the loan agreement is?

I think he could be good once he starts getting regular football in his natural postion, He has been on the bench for a long time and normally plays as a Striker not a winger

Give him a chance to play in his favoured position, after that you can judge him. One thing this current team can't not afford is any passengers.

like most people hard to comment after just one game, but appeared to me to be looking short of fitness, hopefully this will corrected in a few weeks, i think he will be an asset to the team in the near future

Lot of people saying you can't judge because he was played "out of position", but as far as I can recall (although I'm not a mastermind of English football) Kamara has played a wider role on the left a fair bit in the past?

I would also point out that the best year of Kamara's career (2006/07) coincided with Tony Mowbray's arrival as manager at West Brom - so I would suggest TM has already proven he understands the player's strengths, & knows how to get the best out of him.

looks another awkward player like Fortune and Sammy who is neither a winger or a proper striker. Would much rather have seen a proper poacher come in.

my point is we already have 2 players who are good 2nd stikers who work the channels but do not score loads. However since we sold skippy we are back to just one poacher at the club. That is not enough . I think in general a lot of the good work in terms of new signings has been undone by selling others on, leaving us overall back to square one in terms of squad strength. IMO, Mogga and the board AGAIN failed to address the problem of upping the numbers of real natural poachers and experienced CBs. One injury to Rass and we have no poacher. At the back we have Jos and then we have either Loovens or a complete rookie. That is depressing IMO. Not signing that Spanish CB was a disaster IMO. He would have been far more important long term than any of the loan bhoys.

Looked extremely clumsy to me, as has been said though you can't judge him on 1 game when he's only been at the club a day or whatever.

I personally thought Samaras should have started on the left but there we go, it's done now.

Yeah your right ,the guy probaly got a few hours notice that he was playing and he looked alright at the start but the whole team fell away ,but i would like to see him play through the middle to see what he is about.

Played through the middle he could be very good , especially in the SPL!
Just hope he realises that with Keane being here and Fortune being in great form he might not get much of a game!
Hopefully he wants to stay at the end of his loan and i hope Celtic sign him , when Keane goes back to Spurs he could well become our best striker!!
