We have now lost our captain (McManus), our vice captain (Caldwell), a possible captain (Robson), and our current incumbent of the armband in O'Dea is not guaranteed a game due to the arrivals of Hooiveld and Braafheid. That leaves the issue of the captaincy to be sorted, for the short-term at least. Personally I think Keane is the most likely candidate as he has the credentials, speaks good English and loves the club but since he is only on loan maybe there are other suggestions?

    Keane. Why no?

Make him Archbishop of Calton while we're at it.

Give it to Keane, it might make him wanna stay but I doubt it!

It will then give TM time to decide which one of the new recruits is the best man for the job

    Hail Hail

Boruc. I think it would bring him back to his very best and cut out any silly mistakes

I don't think he'd give it to Keano since it's a short term deal, who knows though :icon_mrgreen:

has to be keane imo for the fact that he knows what the jersey really means and he has been (and still is) a great captain for ireland

No way in * I'd give it to a loanee, not even such a famous one as Keane.

Hooivelt is the true candidate, he's speaking well & has already settled the defence in just one game - clean sheet.

Off the subject slightly but I reckon Josh Thompson is a Celtic captain in the making. For now I'd go with Hooivelt.

I think being multilingual would be more useful.

P.S this isn't a complaint about lack of scots.
