Was just talking about the team and it hit me, the Celtic squad is looking a lot more dynamic and mobile after the transfer window.

This time last year we had the likes of JVoH, Skippy, Hartley, Naylor and Naka playing more or less every week.

Look at the forward line now and we have Samaras, Fortune and Kamara. All mobile, and all very quick players. And hopefully Ras will be there to polish off the chances.

Added to that we have McGeady, Ki and McGinn in midfield. N'Guemo gets about the park as well. Also, we have Maloney and Brown to come back.
Even from full-back we have Hinkel and now Braafheid who get up and down the pitch.

Plenty of legs in the team now, a new defence and hopefully a goalscorer.

    I'm excited about this.

excited to also but if we dont hit the ground running i dont want to hear people abusing mowbry he needs time and so do the new and old faces to get used to each other, i reckon we will win the league next season definently and if we win it this season its a bonus to be fair

Yeah i would go along with this to be honest. :50:

To answer the OP i think this team looks particularly balanced and it has the players to either up a gear or play a more patient game.. Very excited to see how it all comes together.

Mowbray is dismantling a squad that took us to a whisker of 4IAR and is assembling a team of mostly unproven foreign players.

My optimism will remain tied to results and performances thank you - "on paper" Le Guen was going to sweep all before him - let's not get carried away yet :56:

Yeah but the way in which that near 4IAR was the driving force behind everyone calling for Strachans head, purely because it was boring * football. I'm optimistic about this because its a whole new mentality - the thing we were promised from Mogga!

Can't wait to watch the next few games!!

    I agree, looking great.

People must give this team time to gel - I know we all want the league this year but if we don't get it I think Mowbray should get another crack at it next season, with all of his own players from the start.

Gives us plenty of options in wide positions and up front.

Means we can be a bit more flexible in terms of our formation.

Hopefully we can see Raz get his first start, as well as Braafheid with Kamara coming off the bench.

I hope Braafheid stays back, and does his defensive duties first, I don't want him forward. The second striker will help the MF-s instead. Can't say anything about Kamara, but a third support striker is too much. I hope he doesn't play like Fortune and Samaras, but does something else. I'm not a fan of pacey football myself, but I'm not the manager.

    ---------------boruc

    hinkel Ramis(maybe) Hooiveld Braafheid

    -------McGeady N'Guemo Ki

    Fortune----------------- Kamara

    ----------Rasmussen

I want every player that Celtic sign to be a success, but the realist in me knows that this won't ever be the case. At the end of the day this is a results business. Its all well and good to be brilliant & play beautiful dynamic football BETWEEN the 2 18-yard boxes, its all for nothing if we lose the battles IN the 2 18-yard boxes

Good job the defence looks a bit better then, and we hopefully have a goal-hanger in Raz.

Well we have Killie on Tuesday, then Dunfermline and I think Hearts after that. A couple of wins and the belief will be through the roof.

Tell you what, if we can get a few wins under our belt and get some momentum ahead of the OF game, you just never know.

Yep. Just gotta get used to it.
