WGS is better, he could use average players to their full potential, unlike Mowbray. With proper backing from the board, he could have brought more success. His style was also more suited to us than Mowbray's is, and he knew how to correctly implement it. We knew how to defend in a defensive setup under WGS, while we don't seem to know how to attack under Mowbray. We don't score much, while conceding bucketload of goals. I hope the game against Hamilton marks the moment Mowbray gave up his idealistic style, and started taking elements from Strachan's play. Because it's the only way we'll win this season.

VOH before the injuries as well. He was a handful for the Man U defence at that first game at Old Trafford

dont get me wrong, theres a lot of players in that list i like too:50: im just reminding people that there is some PISH aswell, some expensive mishaps, and some players who never got a game!

for a manager who knew how to get the best out of players,he didnt have sign a lot of them did he?? 31 and they were all first team players!!!

think your all overating the wee man here, yet not willing to give mogga a chance....find it strange to be honest!

I will bet all my credits with someone that if Tony Mowbray gets another season, we will be leading the huns this time next january.

We want a Celtic man to play 'the Celtic way' but also bring success too. Is that possible? Most definitely.

I'll be the first to admit he's made some tactical errors along the way and has failed to get the best out of some players. Give Mowbray time, let him get his own players in and then judge him.

In my eyes, Tony is putting this season at risk by making so many changes so fast. By doing this we may lose the league this year but it could bring long-term success and that's what it's all about.

Like who? Owen Coyle who rejected us anyway? Roberto Martinez who created a good team, but is hardly the personality you need at Celtic...oh, and rejected us anyway? Who else was there? Mogga's the man. Believe it.

Agree. May have dodged a bullet with Martinez. Wigans defence is worse than hours, he rates Caldwell and loses 9-0 to Spurs

    Moan, moan, moan.

All this Strachan is amazing rubbish is coming out now, the same thing was said about O'Neil when Strachan was in charge.

We haven't lost the league yet, we are still in with a shout of winning the cup and we have made a lot of changes to the squad.

It is a transitional period and maybe we have to take a bit of rough before we get to the smooth. That's the way it works in football sometimes. Ferguson never did much in his first few years at United - look at him now.

It's been about 6 months * *. Get a grip, show a bit of patience for once in your life. He hasn't got off to a flyer but he is far from a bad manager.

Ok, Strachan got the most out of average players - but average players played distinctly average football. Mowbray is trying to give us something we can be happy to watch, and he is trying to give us trophies. You don't win anything in your first 6 months.

Give it a bit of time, Jeez.

Thats because you can look and see what WGS did for the club....what he won where he took us in europe.
But tony is new and still on thin ice untill he gets it right....if he does....
It will never change.....all managers have their fans and those that hate them

I think in reality guys, we're all just going to have to lessen our expectations here. We're a club that can't compete financially in today's market, we can't attract the players we're used to because our league is an embarrassment. Mogga's got the hardest job to do of any Celtic manager during the last 10+ years. Everything I've said above shouldn't be news to anybody - it's been said before. Some of your expectations are never going to be met I'm afraid. Mogga will get it right though. I truly believe he will. Faith lads and ladies, c'mon.

whether you fancy anyone as a celtic manager or not, you should always get behind him.

i wasn't a big fan of barnes or venglos and had wanted better managers, but i stll got behind them.

But, this rebuilding job should have been done two years ago. We were all screaming for the duds to get punted and replaced with better, younger players and nothing whatsoever happened. Which is why Mowbray has to spend his first year finding quality players to bring in and getting rid of the likes of Caldwell, McManus, Flood, Killen, Mark Brown and Robson.

If players like that had been replaced when they should have been, we would probably have won the League last year and be doing far better this year.

As it is, this is a transition period. One which we are doing poorly in, yes, but it's not a season on which Mowbray will be judged. Next year is the real deal, according to the man himself, and we should judge him then.

Everyone wanted an overhaul, and Mowbray's only doing the job assigned to him. Let him do the * job.
