i heard that Hartly was celtic through and through... i dont no wat i think about him playing for us, he is a great player, and is 29 but that doesnt mean much, still got gd years, maybe great years in him... i dont think hearts would want to let him go either, but imagine us having their best player, then imagine keano, hartly an lenny all together, a think a few teams would b pating their shanties.... lets wait and see wats said, the nxt few weeks r going 2 b interesting

I agree on hartley I think he is a quality player and would be great in the hoops.

We should get hartley in and a younger player - not scott brown he is a *

I thin Hartley could do a great, great job for us, especially in CL. He got experience and he scores some nice goals.

Ono would be a good replacement for Petrov, I had a good opinion of Hartley until he acted like a thug by assaulting Wallace, but he could do a job for us.

Hearts wont let Hartley go for anything less than £2m now. I would offer Stan to Everton for cash plus James McFadden or offer him to spurs in a swap for Robbie Keane

can understand why a lot of people wont want hartley....after his lil faux pas ..but hes a real digger and would be great in a celtic team...and he is a celtic supporter..playing for the jersey is important.

Wouldn't say no to Hartley at the club. A hoops fan and a really good player now, think he could be quite a good replacement for Petrov shall he leave. Not so sure about Brown though, haven't seen him play much bar Celtic Hibs games.

Yeah I would go for Hartley. Most improved player in the SPL over the last couple of seasons and a great penalty box midfielder.

I dont like Hartley being labelled as 'great'. Petrov is great! Hartley is having a good season.

Hartley is a decent midfielder, but at his age I don't agree with Hearts valuation, remember they wanted close to 1.5M when we approached them last.
Replacing Petrov will be a massive task, but before he came to CP, nobody had heard of him, perhaps we should be scouring the Eastern European market again than pay over the odds for Hartley.
What's the latest situation with Robbie Keane, is he still available on a Bosman in the summer?
If Hartley had bid his time we could have signed him for nothing this summer.

"I dont think a player playing for Potsmouth and on loan from a lowly German side is good enough for us.With either Brown or Hartley you know what you are getting."

U are a complete and utter moron!
U dont have a clue about football obviously.Ur tokin about a guy that has caps wif Argentina and regurlaley gets a game wae them to Paul Hartley cos 'u no what ur gettin'.
U are perhaps the most unknolwedgable fans ive ever came across and theres plently on this site.
Yes u no what ur gettin wif harttley but thts a DECENT SPL PLAYER.
whats he goin do in the champions league and other big game??
Really as GS said go forth and multiply cos u my friend are a fool that knows nothing about football and probaly claims that Paul Telfer is a quality act.

hartley is someone who would give 100% in every game and seeing he supposedly supports celtic it would be pretty good. although since hes 29 and hearts will want alot of money for him then i think we would be better for going for someone younger.i think that persons games off the bench have looked promising aswell

''Andres D'Allesandro from Wolfsburg who is on loan at Pompey at the moment for around 3.5 mill wud be a good option for me''

He looks a decent player, but we've gor Maloney, Mcgeady and loads of others behind the scenes, and lets face it, we cant afford 3.5 on one player. Thats a big chunk of our budget.... we aint flash.

I think we can afford £3.5 million on one player. Strachan was probably going to get £6-8million, plus say £6million for Petrov will give us a good little budget.

I'd rather have 3 or 4 £3.5million signings, than a team full of Virgos.
