Danish media is saying Celtic put in a bid of 8 mill. Kroner Roughly 925.000 Pounds

According to an English Newspaper, Morten Gamst Pedersen could be on his way to Celtic, who recently got Morten "Duncan" Rasmussen in the squad

Daily Mirror writes today, that Celtics manager Tony Mowbray is interessted in the norwegian winger, and that he on thursday contacted Blackburn with an offer of around 8 million Danish kroner.
Morten Gamst Pedersens contract with Blackburn is endning this summer, and he should asumeably also have gained the interest from turkish side Fenerbache and greek side Olympiakos.
They 28 year old norwegian, has played for Blackburn since 2004, where he trasfered to, from the nowegian club Tromsø.

Only thing I can say is get him and do it now! Eventhough his contract is endning in the summer the bid sounds a bit low imo. But would be a bargain. More Mortens in Celtic GO!

I hope so. A goal scoring 2 footed midfielder who is good in the air. Scored in his last 4 games I believe

by all accounts he scored a stunning goal in his last game.I'm not sure even if Blackburn would let him leave for that sort of money, there woul;dn't be a host a EPL teams looking at him

 

Blackburn wouldnt let him leave for that. Big Sam already said he aint going to sell players on the cheap as he wont have any money to buy anyone better. He can only buy if he sells.

 

Blackburn would be delighted to get almost 1m for a player out of contract at the end of the season. He's stated repeatedly that he wants to move to a club that competes in the Champions League so we could be a possibility. Most likely will move to Fenerbahce though.

 

£1m and they'll take it. They will act like they wont, but they will not let a player leave for nothing in 6 months when they can get a mil for him now.

Good player and I think he'd be good for us both in SPL and possibly europe. Get him signed up!

 

Tremendous left foot.Would add something different to the team rather than just the threat of McGeady.Only 28 as well so good experience but a few good years left in him yet.For 1m or so he would be a great signing.At least he's got a final ball!

Would he not be the biggest signing since the martin oneil days? Cant see him coming to scotland to be honest. Not when he could pick alot of EPL teams - especially if he's going on the cheap.

 

Whats the point in him goin to another EPL team under the top six, hed be aswell staying with blackburn, if he really wants to compete in Europe then we are the ideal team

 

I would love to see him put on the green and white hoops. Think the guy would be a solid signing for us.

 

i'd love him to sing great technical abillite i.e free kicks and corners and great finisher

Yeh but to weigh it up properly you'd probably look at Celtic playing maybe 8/9 games in europe where as just as many people probably watch the EPL every wk. I think 9 times out of 10 a player will choose top half of EPL over the Old Firm. He will also get more money to stay down there. I think he's really good and would love him to come here - just think there's not a big chance of it happening.

 

Let's hope so it would show some ambition to improve rather than just selling

 

think this one might happen guys... got that jelly belly after reading, but this would mean McGeady,Maloney,McCourt,McGinn,Mizuno and now maybe Pederson would be available on the wings does it not?? av seen him up front and hes also usefull there.
