I know there's tough competition for places, but I reckon this guy is to good to leave on the bench.

Every time he gets the ball, it almost always leads to a chance or a goal. His football is just sublime at times, and we should unleash him every week against every team!

    What you think?

I agree 100 percent..even if it is just as a supersub. He brings something to the pitch that no other player can.

He doens't offer much defensivley or tracks back enough. McGeady starting then McCourt as an impact player after an hour when they are pinned back and we need to break a team down.

Agreed with most of folk, impact sub and he's on fire. You just know something will happen when he gets the ball. Too bad he can't endure 90 minutes, but I still think he contributes more for those 20-30 minutes than some of our players for 90. And he scored a cracking goal today, well in son.:50:

yeah i agree, i don't think you can get 90 miniutes from him. should either play for an hour at start or come on for last half hour or so. great goal today:50:

i would rather him start and rip the pish for 60 mins then come off instead off having to come on with 20 mins left to pull us out the *.

    Super-sub until further notice.

Would do a brilliant job playing off a striker like an old-fashioned number 10, though.

    Paddy Part Time Player!

    Paddy McCourt-

Dependant on tactics/opposition who is fit Paddy could be a good sub/ or he starts the game and gets right fired in and is subbed around 60 mins.

I did think that his physique looked a lot stronger today!:50:

hes played 90 minutes and was never seen for some reason he his an impact player and just cant handle the full game and as others have said he does not track back great when we attack like the second half today but would be a liability in a game like the first half today when we needed people tracking back

I read somewhere (dont know where) that he has a wee problem with his fitness. He finds it hard to stay at peak fitness and is very prone to injury. I would love to see him start in as many as possile games. But if he is prone to injury then we should use him as a super sub.

    Regards
    Scott

i have been saying even before he came to celtic when he was at derry city he is amazing and since hes come here i have been saying since the begining that he is a sensational player and should definately start for us but ones just laughed and said no way.. now 2 years on everyone is in love with him, * fantastic player, if he was girl i would * him..:56:.. but to answer your question he is far better to bring on the last half hour or 2nd half when everyone is knacered, he would do as he did 2day, skin the life out of the other team..:56:.. PADDY MC COURTS * ARMY... :icon_mrgreen:

i think he should start more often, then hopefully naturally, his fitness should improve

The only thing i could ever doubt him with was he sometimes got a bit greedy, today he wasnt, he was immense and his passing was brilliant and a cracker of a goal as well. :50:

    Just can't get enough
Think he was great today, could have had a hat trick, but don't think he can do a good enough job for 90 mins or if we are against it! impact player and a very very good one at that!

    Superb cameo from Paddy today.
at the minute he is probably best left untill the 2nd half to exploit the space and tired legs.
but in saying that if he is on the bench every week and celtic are winning 1-0 or 2-1 with 25mins left would TM bring him on then?or would he prefer a more defensive minded player at that stage.
it could be a case of not having to use paddy for 4 or 5 weeks on the trot and that wouldnt be good for paddy.

The team that finished at McDiarmid park is the team tht should start against Hibs IMO. different game in the 2nd half! McCourt was sensational man!
