how is it you work out the amount of protein your meant to take. Something to do with an 'x' amount per 'something' of your body weight.

    Cheers, thats a help

Aye you can get it from your diet, but obviously the shakes are decent if you're wanting creatine or something as well.

gonna give the "100 push ups" work out ago. going to try and fit that around my other gym work so ill see how long it takes for me to get there. managed 25, this is after a weights session this morning, for the initial test and according to the workout i should start on week 3. so quadruple my number of press ups in 3 weeks? interesting.

Not got a day off work until Monday which really affects me going to the gym. Haven't been in over a week. Trying to get there on Sat night before I go to the cinema. Anyone else have this problem?

Most people maintain the good foundations if they give it up for little while.

I read somewhere they recommend 6 weeks continuous training then a full 2 weeks off.

Just started hitting the weights again 2 weeks ago. Did some today, some cardio and shadow boxing. When I went to boxing, I'd hit the ropes for 25 mins, not got that fitnesss just now though.

Been doing my research on it. Don't think i ever will to be honest. I can't afford it anyway, but it isn't recommended for u25's in particular due to imbalances. I'm 18.

I do it on the cheap. I have some weights at home but just try to eat cereal and fruit in the morning and protein like chicken after. I won't get as good a work out as a lot of the guys on here but need to watch my money at the moment.

I do a combo between going to the gym and doing some stuff at home. Sometimes it suits me and is bound to do more so when the academic year re-starts but sometimes its good to get out and go to the gym. Breaks the day/week up.

The same with me. Do you have a punch bag or boxing bag (don't know the English word for it, sorry)? These kind of things can really make you stronger in more ways than just brute force.

Use it, mate. When I started using my punch bag after the weight lifting, the whole training had way more effect.
