BBC Sport - Football - Mowbray expects transfer activity

"Asked if Celtic could afford a player of Robbie Keane's calibre, Mowbray answered: "There is no scope for that." "

"Aiden's very settled, enjoying his football immensely and hopefully looking forward to helping us win the title this year," said the former West Brom manager.
"I sit here not expecting any bids (for McGeady), not anticipating any, not wanting any."

I don't think it's "Mowbrays not interested in Keane"..if you see the whole quote he goes on to say that it's just out his hand and would need a certain someone to push the deal through. Doesnt mean he doesnt rate him/want him..

Read this earlier but on that about Keane it was the last line on that piece that got me wondering ,as you do.

"I don't envisage that happening unless certain individuals want to make that commitment."

    Keeping McGeady is very important.

Getting Keane would be a massive coup, can't see it happening but would love it.

Keeping McGeady could be the action that wins us the leauge this year. He has been amense.

As for Keano its all down to Desmond, if he wants him at Celtic he would be hear.

It's not down to Desmond. It's down to Keane. If you think Robbie Keane not coming up here has anything to do with Desmond or anyone else at Celtic your nuts.

Spurs are realistic contenders for fourth place this year and are presently sitting there fairly comfortably. Keane won't chuck both the EPL and potentially captaining Spurs in the Champions League for the SPL. Simply put, he doesn't want to come, they don't want to sell. What Desmond wants has nothing to do with it.

Now can we put this fanciful nonsense to bed please? It only gets peoples hopes up unrealistically and the Club cop the blame for it.
