    Hi Everyone

Im new to this forum, only found it a few days ago, so decided to join up, my first post i would like some advice from fellow supporters.

At long last i have arranged to get the celtic crest/badge tattooed on my upper arm, so i went to the tattooist, he gave me a price, said no problem, but advised me that getting it done in green will cause it to fade alot quicker than black ink, it would also need to be touched up in a few years, he said he's done this tattoo many a times, some in green, some in black, his recommendation was to get black, but i think getting it in black defeats the point of the purpose as celtic is green.

Has anyone else on here got this tattoo done and in what colour? i have posted links to the green crest and black crest, lemme know what you would go for personally if you were to get this tattoo.

Thanks again for any input you can advise me on.

Well i'm getting my tattoo (as soon as i make my final decision what i want) and I'll be getting mine in black. I think black and grey tattoo are the dog's bollocks. I think black and grey would be the way to go. Just my opinion though, at the end of the day, its your body bud

My mate has it in green and its quite badly faded and that was 4 years ago. Guess it just depends on quality of ink

personally i wouldn't get a crest...it's too 'obvious' for want of a better word...think outside the box..just my opinion.

I reckon a crest's not the best idea; you never know when you might end up in prison and we all know the place is choca with huns!

I got a clover done in green above "Celtic" about 15 years ago and has only slighty faded. Again think it depends where you go, so prob best to maybe even fork out a wee bit extra for one with a good rep. As for the black, call me an old traditionalist, but I think the crest should always be green.
