because about half their customers in scotland will walk down the road to rbs or clydesdale if they do, thats why. they'll just keep the heat on the directors and make them sell boyd, bougherra and a few others to get the debt down.

    I clicked 'no' by mistake:54:.

    The boards' ambition is clear, con the fans/customers for this cheap * they put in front of us and try to get the club debt free. They're more worried about getting * to buy a 'limited' white brick (as opposed the cheap brown ones:87:) than producing good entertainment on the pitch. They're latest scam is laughable when you read the very end of it, it's about the players being avaible for an autograph session;
Aiden and Scott's Superstore signing session

    * Only products bought in-store on the day will be signed :97:

the board are ambitous lads! there isnt the big money up here now and they do try and give the manager what they can? i wished it was a lot more but sadly it isnt.and also the manager is the one spending the money and wether he succeeds on bringing in the quality? then this is the reason why our team are on free fall at the minute and not the boards fault. lads i know your all hacked off but this is the way it is up here now and now we need to get on with it

The money is in the champions league. A place where we would have been if there was a little faith shown in the man they choose to finish the season with last january. Now being so tight cost us and gave the huns a lifeline.

Sack the board and bring in some new people and the first thing they will ask is......ok how much money does the club have to make improvments.....AND WE WILL SAY.....ERM....JUST A FEW MILLION and then you will hear them aughing all the way home.
Why cant some people get it into there heads there is no money for the board to spend.....END OF.
Do you really think the board are sat there happy with how celtic are just now...These men have worked hard in life and are used to being winners, they dont want to be part of a losing team.
I would also think nearly all of them are fans aswell.

Spot on Wullie, all of us, including the board, would love to be able to spend a lot more but there is simply no money in Scottish football. We've spent more this season than I expected considering we didn't know if we would have any European income.

The board made a mistake in January by not investing more, I think they will have learned from that, but we will not get anymore than 3-4 million (and that's a generous estimate) to spend in January plus any income generated from the sale of players imo so fans expectations have to be realistic.

I said no but it is very much a qualified no. For me they have done a fantastic job getting the club into the great shape it is in overall infrastructure and financially. But having said all that in more recent times the lack of communication with the support has been infuriating. I understand money is tight and the club needs to be careful but they have never explained why we have to have no debt. For all we know they may have tried to push the boat out and the real problem is that no quality players want to come and play in the spl. I don't know.

But my biggest complaint would be the lack of communication with the support about what is going on. Be honest with the support and stop behaving like politicans.

Lacking ambition in regards to not spending an extra 5-10 million last year to ensure we won the league. Lacking the correct mentality as Celtic men and dragging the club from how it was founded into a political deaf & dumb company pandering to the mass media.

sack the board, no. lack ambition yes
one thing for them to think about, it's fine havin nice balanced books, but if your product is * (like our team), nobody will watch it (the fans).
whats that phrase from the kevin costner film, build it and they'll come

i jus dont think the board really appreciates the fans we have been dire for a while now a few transfer windows have come and gone and for those of us who have been sittin in the stands freezing shivering in the cold in the hail rain and snow stepping out early from work to see them draw with dundee utd spending all that cash to see them draw agenst falkirk after scoring to go 3 - 2 up and even last year the heartache felt on the final of the season i was one of the last few to leave celtic park i was numb to the core sickened by it letting the league slip at easter road unbelievable i,m not one who has jumped on the band wagon been sayin this since feb las season! we need something to happen! goes without question now we need a rebuilding within defence and the board must MUST release funds for a defence and a striker in jan! how many times have you heard the phrase "celtic struggling to get out of first gear" or whatever! too long this has been happenin we need change! maybe mowbray is the man who knows i,m giving it until just after january but it all stems back to the board imo

But even if we had a full house every single week, as long as we're playing in the SPL we will only lose money year in year out if we splash out on marquee players and don't balance the books.

There's no big secret about what happens if an SPL club pushes the boat out, cos someone quite nearby has already tried it. They're currently in deep * and being run by the feckin bank!

And still find themselves top of the league and in the champions league (all be it getting pumped every week) but due to our lack of ambition to bury them.:31:

thats what is making things so frustrating just now we are up against a * and skint rangers team even the huns cant believe they are sitting top.if we throw away another chance to bury the huns this season and hand them not just the league but a financial lifeline then how are we going to fair when they get bought over and some money pumped into the team again

The board have not backed TM. They never backed the last guy in the summer of 08 and winter of 09. The board have been an utter disgrace and let the celtic fans down big time. If celts for change started up again i wouldnt be surprised.
