Theyll start by using words like "Old Firm" "Glasgow's secterian problem"

I say to every Celtic fan worth there salt,

    "be it a tabloid,a politician,a community activist-

Stand up to them-Do not let them make out that

we are the same as them.

Celtic have won prized awards for fans behaviour
Nearly every top player who has a testimonial wants Celtic
Celtic fans go to party - Not to fight

Rangers FC had a secterian signing policy
Nobody chooses Rangers for testimonials because theres likely to be fights
Rangers fans go to fight -Not to party

Rangers have the potential to drag us down with them
Celtic fans need to maintain the excellent reputation as the world most friendliest fans, and allow no-one to link us with them when it comes to reputation.

i dont think it's fair that you should be tarred with the same brush... I also don't think you should be tarring every rangers fan with the same brush. Just like the Celts and every other team, they have their trouble makers. It seems because of Rangers past(before souness) it gets noticed more for them...

Take this for example... I was once started on by 2 neds in a celtic shirts after the caley game... Purely just because caley won and i had my caley shirt on. I even seen someone throw a traffic cone at someones car... Does that mean all celtic fans are like that? No... So don't be hypocritical.

    rav3n, I take your point , BUT

The tabloid press WILL associate what the Orcs do along with US
and YES Celtic fans are renouned for there good behaviour

Could you imagine seville if it was the orcs ......

It's bad enough being labelled "half the old firm" without the scummy nonsense that goes with rankers and their fans travels
lets not forget the "FAKE EUROS" in germany a few years ago

As i have said before there are good and bad on both sides but as long as you dont get involved in all the bigoted nonsense you can hold your head high, safe in the knowledge that you are not fueling the fire of intolerance.

i don't think the rest of the world sees us anything like the huns, for starts we walk upright and our knuckles don't drag on the ground. The media has nothing bad to print about us this weekend so they bring us into something that had nothing to do with us,by bring up the word old firm implies both of us,they've had it in for us for years and it's something we have to live with,When lazio were charged over thier fans doing * salutes were roma brought into it,i think not. There is no way uefa or any member club sees us as anything other than a massive club with superb fans, let them print thier narrowminded tripe because the world knows better

I have BBC Radio Scotland on right now and they are talking about UEFA investigating Rangers and suprise suprise they bring Celtic into it and say "Celtic are just as bad as Rangers" fair play to one of the guys on their who is saying this is nothing to do with Celtic its Rangers being investigated not Celtic but it just shows the press/media in Scotland want to give Celtic a bad name because Rangers have a bad name.

I take it you were in Spain with the Rangers fans yeh? You can't go by what the media say. The media take negative situations and over exaggerate on them to sell their papers and magazines. They're not going to sell papers with reports saying ''thousands of rangers fans travel to spain and have great party atmosphere with the locals!!!'' When you take the ratio of how many Rangers fans where there, and how many caused trouble, you can see why the whole things is pathetic.

Would you say all Iraqis and Afghans are suicide bombers? No select few are... If you did it would be classified as a form of racism or something. Why am i compairing religeons to this situation... Because to me Rangers and Celtic fans following their team is almost like following a religeon.

So afew people out of 10,000 deciede to be pricks. That makes them all troublemakers? Seriously get a grip of reality! If it was that bad there would of been alot of trouble inside the stadium, when you'll find it was the complete opposite.

    Celtic Songs!

At Easter Road this weekend we should stick to traditional Selik songs as well. They will be watching us waiting for something about the IRA or F*** the Queen etc etc. Lets not fall into the trap. Just pure Celtic songs and then they can have nothing on us.

IRA songs are not bigoted towards a religion - its just a polititcal exclamation which has nothing to do with football - but its is not sectarian because the IRA, or Sinn Finn is not a sectarian organization. Granted it has nothing to do with the game, Wolfe Tone, Emmet and through to Parnell, the Republican movement has welcolmed likeminded individuals irrespective of religion, or even in the case of James Connoly nationality. However, chants of "f**k the queen", "orange scum" and other chants which are offensive to a particular religion, a category which many loyaist songs, with very few Republican songs, fall into must stop as this is the moronic and pig-headed part of the conflict of opinion in the West of Scotland. This Land is Your Land, Garryowen, and Boys of the Old Brigade contain no refrences derogatry to other religions although the ycan be described deeply political and in no way shape or form associated with Celtic Football Club, but the faithful choose to sing them at Dens, Pittodrie, Tyncastle and Ibrox as many, perhaps even most, of the away support by the sheer strength of the singing have a interest in the political struggle. The question is are these appropriate songs, as these are simply not sectarian. The mob on the south side of the river will be wishing their choice of song begged the same question
