No he didnt, the bulk of MON's spend was in the first 2 seasons and ever hear of economic growth and inflation?

A £1 today wont get the same as a £1 back in 2000.

Well why dont u tell me the difference between the two.

All i'm saying is he did spent plenty of cash. People seem to think he spent peanuts. MON went large on quality. Strachan on the otherhand spent 2- 3 mill on a vast amount of players. Most of his bigger buys turned out pish anyway.

I was never against him from day one, and i dont think even 90% of celtic fans were.

Performances went downhill yet he acted like everything was rosey.

Given time and money i have no doubt Mowbray will have a better calibare of player at our club. It seems the strachan lovers, love to hate mowbrays these days. give the man a chance ffs

MON spent (reportedly) 6m on Sutton and 6m on Hartson alone.

I dont think WGS spent that amount in 4 years at CP

if so u are seriously deluded.

You have google, go look them up in your own time

What MON was able to get for his money was alot more than Strachan could get.

The harsh reality and Mowbray will learn this the hard way is that players dont want to come to the SPL that easy. Fortune came because he worked with him before and he'll be the exception.

Strachan in front of the media like everything was rosey because he didnt like the media. Behind closed doors, he was harsh on players. Alot of managers dont like to give the media anything to chew on and I've no problem with any manager doing that. Some took exception to Strachan doing it because it was something to use.

I'm no problem with Mowbray except his record at Celtic Park, he needs to fix that.
