relating to threads like "GET TELFER TO *".

get irishrover and celtic fans like him to *.
what type of celtic fans are they to have a go the way they do???
by all means if you want to give an opinion of not rating a player then so be it, but not in the way you do.

i would understand if the player is treating the club wrong, but the likes of BBJ, lenny and paul telfer have a great attitude on the pitch, and towards the club.

i'd also like to know where these fans were when the likes of myself had to go through the huns 9-in-a-row? i was still a proud tim, and there wasn't as many of us then, and we certainly didn't act thw way some of you are.

    hail hail

I was not giving Paul Telfer abuse, just saying that he is a championship player and always will be, he may well have a good attitude and play with his heart but that is the attitude that any player should have at celtic park. The fact is, there is no way that we can go into the Champions League next season with him at right back, because he is simply not good enough

    Agreed ?

as i said, as long as your just giving an opinion, not giving the guy abuse. i would personally like to see ian harte signed for left back, and mark wilson moved to the right.

but wether i agree with GS's line-up or not, i will always get behind the team.

    hail hail.

p.s. agree with the title change, maybe i was just too angry at some of my fellow tims.

yeah im always behind the team too, and i would personally agree with you that Harte at left back and moving young wilson back to his natural side is the best way to go for the defence.

On another note, I like what GS is trying to go with the team and he has my full backing !

We will win the league now, its just a question of when :D

Is it not just 5 more wins we need? I think we play Hearts at CP and if we beat them we will win it. How sweet that would be! :D

I agree with Conorbhoy, people on here give Telfer, Hartson, Lennon awful abuse. Personally I think them 3 need to be sold next season. Lennon & Hartson because of the high wages. Telfer is keeping a better player out of position, until we get a left back, thats the way it will stay.

These three players will be need badly for the rest of the season because of their experience, Lennon & Hartson have lost a league in the last 5 minutes of a season, lost the league on goal difference, etc. They know the heartbreak better than anyone, the younger or new players don't. They will strive to make sure it wont happen again.

Just because their future at the club is in doubt doesn't mean we should abuse them out the door. They are still doing the business for us.

    Here here!
Lenny ahs drove the team on this season, and with Keano hes now playin some of the best stuff of his career - the legs cant go bcos he never really had them anyway!
Big Hartsons done well, particualrly against the Huns, but between his kids, weight, workrate age and contract length i think a parting at the end of the season would be best for all concerned - money for a quality replacement for a longer term than BBJ will then become available. But we wont forget Liverpool. Or Vigo. Or Ibrox. Or the other times at Ibrox. * it, everytime at Ibrox!
Telfers attitude is as impressive as his talent is not, and he is keep a better player than Mark Wilson out of the team - Telfer shouldnt be here as Jackie should be still in possesion of the armband, but these things happen at Celtic - they always have

Despite all this its looking good for next season - an interesting battle between a wee ginger Scotsman, a French *, a Lithuanian nutter and a soflty spoken Hibee from down 'Boro way - and we thot this season has been interesting!

Everyone says Telfer has no talent. The pass he played to Keane for Celtic's second goal was sublime. Reminded me of Paul McStay at his best.(The pass that is) People see the name Telfer and are blinded to the positive. Interesting that as the left back gets sorted and so does the defence. Get off the guys back and give him a break.

We are all behind everyone in the Team. I think many fans including myself are looking to next year and the CL. There is still a place in the Team for Lennon & Telfer next year in the SPL and Cups and on the bench for the bigger games as we will need to use squad rotation. Keano and Stan will be running the show in the middle of the park for the big games next year. We do need to sign more quality defenders though for next season.

Until then Roll on the League & Cup double. :celt_2:

I think Telfer is an honest pro who unfortunately has been caught out at times. Hes not champ league material but hes a good squad member. I have an occasional go at BBJ and Lenny as well but nothing personal. Just stuff lie "stop passing it f'n backwards" and "run a bit John!" but they'll always get my backing come match day. I agree conorbhoy. Lets hear differing opinions on our players, not insults. Save those for the huns.

Its never personal stuff - we all here for the same reason, being Celtic supporters
Real fans don't get on the backs of players because they dislike them, only because of sheer frustration. It annoys me some of the fannys that sit near me to hear them say Lennon has no talent, or Hartsons just a big lump a wood. I identify with those who question certain aspects of their game, such as Hartsons workrate. And who wasn't frustrated with Agathe when he developed a fear of taking the man on, when we knew their was only going to be one winner. Despite his assets in defence, workrate and recovery pace, most people iv'e spoke to experienced those feelings with regard to him. So enoughs enough, lets get behind the Bhoys, see how far this new side can take us.
