keep boruc mcgeady hinkel hunt the rest most are just 3rd and 4th rate rubbish .

 

that's going to work, you'd want to see us keep a squad of 3 players in January so which 20 players would you want to bring in to replace those you'd rather see hunted out the door?

 

So sell about 26 players ,and buy about 18 in ,all in the one window ,wake up.

The players that should go in my opinion are caldwell and brown

Caldwell was brilliant last season ..its just this season hes been a liability to b honest and very inconsistent. No room for that at this level.

Scott brown isnt having a great season so far. I watched him against arsenal and all he was doing was sliding everywhere and barging into the back of ppl. Did very little to b honest. If spurs come back in for him in jan, we should take the money.

I reckon the only money were gona get is by selling a few high profile names, because the board appear to be very reluctant in splashing the cash.

Killen (free - teams that would want him dont have money)
Caldwell (500k - anymore is unrealistic, hes only got 6mths on contract left so no team wouldnt pay any real money for him)
Brown (3-4mil - his form is bad, teams wouldnt want to pay much money for players that are untested in a high quality league)
N'Guemo (hes not ours and thank * for that, hes down right terrible)
Crosas (1mil - i like the lad but cant see him wanting to stay and getting a go)

Id only sign 2 at most 3 players to reduce the squad number. A centre back with some pace and a central midfielder which will get up the pitch and offer us 5-10 goals a season.

if we got that amount of money for those players
think of who we could sign.

 

looking back on it, £1m for killen is a bit unrealistic

 

The most interesting outgoings for me will be Scott Brown, Gary Caldwell and Scott McDonald.

I've said enough about Brown but to summarise he has zero attributes wherever he plays, although enjoys an inflated price tag for some reason. Probably the reason he hasn't been dropped, as his value to suitors would plummet.

Gary Caldwell I don't expect to go in January and therefore we'll lose him in the summer for nothing. The reason is we can't let him go unless we bring someone new in, and someone of quality just doesn't happen in January. Who in their right mind would sell us a CL level CB mid-season?

Scott McDonald is a real enigma for me. As a striker he has the only attribute that really matters: finishing ability. Like Kris Boyd, this is an inarguable stat that in theory should guarantee him a start every game.

It's just his contribution to the team otherwise that I have real issue with. He doesn't link well with anyone, some would argue Venegoor but that was simply one way traffic. His first touch is appalling, which he can get away with against Hamilton but not in Europe. He is slow, has no aerial threat, can't beat a man, can't hold the ball up, doesn't link with people, actively slags off his team-mates, but the crucial thing is he gets goals and has done against the big sides. So I'd like to see him as a third choice striker in our team, undoubtedly a very useful asset. I just think he detracts from the team as a whole and therefore if he doesn't accept the bench I'd rather see him go.

We won't get better with out spending at least 6 or 7m at the very least.

He is a good striker but he needs his team mates to be playing good as well the get the best out of him, every week we have a couple who play really good and the rest play *.

McDonald is our best player in the box and has scored some massive goals for us. He does more than what people think, Its not his fault every time he plays the manager puts him up on his own when hes 5ft8 vs 6ft+ centre backs. He holds up the ball more than people think and spreads the ball to wide areas. McGeady/Brown/Nguemo/Maloney gave the ball away more than he did.

TM should have played w/e back 4, they all can't defend.

you got to be havin a laff if you think skippy worth 6 or 7m overweight and overrated and no first touch would maybe get 2m if lucky from english team only cause they pay over inflated fees

 

To be honest most of our players are way down in value these days and i think alot will go for free.
The epl always looks on the spl as pound stretcher and bids accordingly,i think the top bid will be brown or mcgeady both going for the 5 million mark.

 

slaw why do u want to get the kids out like millar conroy marr lafferty etc if we get rid of all them kids and under 21s then who plays in the reserves and under 19s
