GET TELFER TO FUCK

Picking on individuals especially when we are winning is unacceptable.Methinks a few have a personal agenda towards Telfer,which is sad

 

All season long Telfer has had to play with either Nakamura or Petrov in front of him. Both are great players but both are found wanting defensively as Petrov tends to drift inside and Naka is,well, Naka. So Telfer has to hold the right hand side entirely on his own. It's time to give the guy credit for his performances rather than moaning every time the ball goes near him.

 

Telfer is * but this poll is out of order this is a short term player we are 16 points clear in the league do we really need to be having this poll?

Next season we will either play Gary Irvine or Gary Caldwell there so it will be sorted

Exactly. And hopefully GS will realise this before the start of next season or we'll really struggle.

 

Precisely, and the same applies to Balde for me yet I get raked over the coals by some who cant see Booboos frailties, aye and big as he is!

 

I think Telfer knows himself that he is playing out his depth. But the guys a good pro, seems like a decent guy, so I dont think he deserves to be hounded the way he is being. I wouldnt say he is 'pish', just a decent championship player who is lucky enough to get the chance to play for the greatest team in the world. Although he is maybe lacking in ability, he does give it all for the jersey. So for that reason we must get behind him and encourage him. We will buy another full back in the summer, so for the rest of the season we should get off his back and let him enjoy the rest of his spell at the club.

 

Telfer, he's fine in the SPL when were winning. However, against big teams, we need another right back. He's a short term player who will struggle big style to play as many games next season.

 

I tear my hair out sometimes reading this forum. Certain people on here have been on Telfers back since day one, in fact before he had even kicked a ball.

There are certain terms used which baffle me, that are banded about constantly, and not just in reference to Telfer.

1. Not good enough for the hoops.
2. Not good enough for the SPL.
3. Not as good as the other players on the pitch.

Telfer is easily all three. What do people think the SPL is? It is pish. What do they think the general standard of celtic player is, I wouldn't say Pish, But I wouldn't say much above average either.

Wise up, Telfer is easily good enough for the team this season, and he is doing an OK job. No he isn't world class but not many at all are at celtic. At the moment I wouldn't say we Have on world beater. Thats what Henrick was, but he was one in a million so don't hope for that in a hurry. certainly not at right back.

 

Stop slating the lad and let him finish the season with us behind him. When he goes i hope he has great memories of a fantastic club and great supporters which is 1 of things we`r famous for!

We he first started i thought he looked a no bad player for a 34 year old. His runs were no bad but noo hes just pure pish.
Buy Iain Harte and play young wilson on the right in his right poistion

 

give the guy a break for * sake hes only a short term fix cause we couldnt go out and get a long term player in that position in the summer and cause of what happend to jackie, wilson will take over at rightback next season when we should get a decent left back in, i hope those who use him as a scapegoat will be thanking him as much as they are slagging him when hes helped win us the title

Hi People, new to these forums, this is my first post.

I dont think Paul Telfer has ever been gd enough to play for Celtic, never mind when he is hitting his mid thirties. Hes a championship player and always will be, we need a new player there for next season's champions league, no question about it !

 

yeah send him back to poxy southampton.they need a player of his quality

 

this thread isn't celtic minded whatsoever, i would bet that irishrover is a teenager, maybe around 12.

who had we got for right back at the start of the season???? no-one.
telfer has come in and done a steady job for us.
i would admit that he's not the long term answer, but neither does GS, he brought him in to cover that position till someone else comes in.

He gives his all, but what good are you doing by starting a petition? It will not make a difference and it is cruel on a player who has given his all for us. I agree, he is not Celtic class, but he has given his all in his time and you can not slate him for that. Starting petitions will only give us a bad name for the sake of it. It is the manager's decision and not ours to decide.

What exactly is it that Paul Telfer holds over Gordon Strachan,...even after helping to cost us 3 points the worst strachan could say about him was "a few misplaced passes and an honest mistake "...what exactly does Telfer have to do to get criticism from from Strachan, when he signed he was already too old , too slow, and too mediocre. get your act together Strachan, your lovechild has to go hes costing us dearly..."the Celtic jersey does not shrink to fit inferior players...Jock Stein".
