McGeady needs better coaching than he has had at Celtic f he is to realise his potential.

I'm not sure he'd get it at Brum, but if he is to progress he will need to move on - our coaches have let him down.

10million & I'd sell him, shame though - he could have been awesome if we had good coaches over the past 4-5 years.

thats a great offer imho. like said before, would be good to get £10M+ for him. doubt we could stretch that for brown, but look at the money we would bring in. personally dont think he would make it in the EPL. look at the quality of the defenders in the EPL compared to the SPL. his tricks wouldnt last long imho and he would become a liability in whichever team he plays, and eventually fizzle out.

would work good but, thinning out the midfield, and getting a big bonus. wether that would be put to use by the board in the transfer window, i dont know, but im sure we would get a good bit of it!

watching the game at the weekend, mcginn seems like he has the heart and has a bit of potential for the team. will be interesting to seem him and flood break through, quite like them!

8 million seems like a fair amount although Big J Hartson has mentioned in his paper that he could be as good as Arshavin so why not hold out for 10million. No sure i agree with the big man on that comment though.
Would rather let Brown go myself.

all bull imo IF mcgeady leaves celtic at any point does anyone honestly believe he wil settle for birmingham ? If theres one thing for sure he has every confidence in his own ability and wont leave for a lesser club thats for sure

i totally agree, some people on here are seriously deluded if they think nial mcginn and paddy mccourt can fill in for mcgeady if he left, and that roman pavylchenko or whatever the * his name is or robbie keane would come to the spl.

get a reality check, if we sold him and mcginn or mccourt werent pulling their weight then the same * moaning on here will be saying we should not have sold him.

    you canny win.

theres no way he will go to birmingham, ferguson eck wud put him off for a start, also if he's gonna go to the EPL he'll go to better than them. sell brown to whoever we can for abt £6mil, and buy djebbour

yea he aint goin to be a brum boy. would say spurs villa or everton would be he only concievable destinations if he were to hit the epl. he'd barely be back up for the ''big four'' and man city can go for robinho tevez an the likes now, so apart from the forementioned clubs he aint gonna go to a fulham portsmouth birmingham type club, i dont think even for mad money. if he pulls his finger out he'll get paid well from celtic, become a legend, and maybe get his move to la liga he says he'd like someday. and hopefully get us a nice big fee when the time comes. but i think mcgeady still has some titles left to win at celtic park. and i think he will win them.

What is so unrealistic about someone like Pav coming to Celtic? . . Sitting on the bench every week can't be enjoyable , i am sure any way out for him would be appealing!! He would maybe see CL football and a guaranteed place in the starting 11 as a good opportunity. Celtic are a team Keane has always wanted to play for and as for Dos Santos he went to Ipswich on loan last season enough said!

It's about money mate and the league quality.

Do you think Ipswich paid Santos' wages in full? Not a chance, they would pay a percentage & Spurs would top it up.

Pavlechencko would never come here, ever. He'd go to Spain or Italy or another EPL club.

Robbie Keane will probably come to Celtic at some point, but he'll be 37 years old & still demanding 50k a week. He couldn't hack it at a big club like Liverpool - he's not really all that good.

I dont get how any Celtic Fan would welcome our best player to leave. If he leaves we are worse than ordinary.

Read loads here saying he has been found out. If teams put three guys on you when you have the ball, its tuff! Ronaldo couldnt cope with that either. The problem is when McGeady gets the ball and gets crowded out, no one else is really bursting for the ball to exploit the space that has been created!

    Wouldnt take it.

i completely agree with the last post, McGeady is our best player, he showed that in the away tie against Arsenal. Hes young, and skillful, has pace and can dribble knowone else in the squad can offer that.

Totally agree with your post, the part in bold, is something I have mentioned on numerous occassions on here, but some people just dont see that if he has 3 men on him he is essentially making plenty of room for others to utilize, and the problem is the players are not utilizing that space effectively at all, and giving him few if any options at times.

8Million? I would bite his hand off and give him a stamp of no refunds, Aiden McGeady has no end product and is so overated it is unbelievable.
