Ah, had him for years in FM 09, strikers came and went (even kierrison) but he stayed strong and faithfull, ended up with him and obinna up front for 6-7 years Obinna was player of the year every year, would advise everyone to sign him and play him wide!

    Obinna has some speed alright!

I just checked the overall best 11

Milevskyi has 262 apps + 168 goals (lone striker mainly but I reckon he has about 100 assists)
Diego Souza (AMC) has 285 Apps & 130 goals! * you Lampard! :56:

    * go on son!!!

Yeah, Obinna is mint, can get him free in second season, but he normally wont com into his own til about 3rd 4th, he is still great but when he gets going he just runs the show! not many goals but he will go a load of games where he just destroys the opposition goal, I always play him on the right wing and he just embarrasses his markers, so good, whoever is marking him usually ends up weakest player in the game!

Aye Dempsey I don't have a good tutor for midfielders and forwards. I have a good tutor for CB and I have 2 good prospects coming through in that position so am alright there. Must try and get a good tutor gor all my attacking talent!

Will try and shift over to more physical training now as you say. Looking forward to how he is in another 10 months especially now he will have far more games in that time!

P.s. congratulations on equalling/bettering Jock. He might be getting cold in your shadow :p

In my save, Celtic are dominating the world of football in a manner unheard of and the likes of will never be seen again! The Real Madrid team of 56-60 look like a * pub team by comparison! :56:

You'll need a real class act, Gattuso or similar ilk, to tutor that guy the way you need to but I reckon he would realize his potential faster if you could get one.

played 5 games since my last update

League- Hibs 0-2 Celtic (Hooiveld, Keane(pen))
League- Celtic 3-2 Dundee Utd (Keane, Crosas, McGowan(last minute))
Champions League CSKA 1-1 Celtic (Berezutskyi o.g)
    League- Celtic 1-1 Hearts (Keane)
CIS Cup Celtic 4-0 Ross County (Samaras, McGowan, McGinn, McCourt)

Summary- Top of the league by 4 points ahead of Rangers, not much to say about Champions League except good hard earned point. League Cu played fringe players played well not just the scorers(above) but Zaluska 2 penalty saves and have been drawn against an unheard of team called Rangers at Parkhead.

Milevski has tutored every one of my strikers, great captain and a proffesional (he said he would be willing to be sold to help the clubs financial situation, despite his love for the club. what a pro)

Good LBs are ridiculously hard to find, I always scour the U-19s teams at the start of each new season to look for any youngster with potential and try to save on huge transfer fees.

I never looked at his hidden attributes but I reckon they are excellent, he tutored the following for me and they didnt take off until after showed them the way. I know Lukaku always does turn world class but he's done that despite being the more injury prone than John Kennedy in my current game.

    David Wood* Worldwide Striker
    Andrea Zoli* World Class Striker
    Romelu Lukaku World Class Striker

    *regens

Good/potential FBs are the hardest to identify in my book as your tactics really do define the type of full back you need.

e.g. no point having an excellent defensive fb if you expect you the fb to overlap the midfielder.

Weh hey, just got pumped 5-0 by Bordeaux!! My keeper had a torrid time apparently. Just so co-incides with my sub keeper making noises about wanting first team football.

    hmm...

So I'm now clinging onto a UEFA cup place in the middle of January. I think I can go all the way and make the UEFA which will be big for this club!

My biggest stars last year - Di Santo and Bernardo, where kind of/nearly/just about replaced adequately, although nowhere near to the standard they were at.

The other big stars - Djallo - snapped his ankle and has lost 4 months and Granqvist has been poached by Valencia for a mere £6 million. Board came over my head and took it :(

This is my replacement for Granqvist:

On loan for now but perhaps can sign him in the summer for £2.8m if I want. I quite like the look of his stats and it's helped that he is French. Heading, strength and aggression are big things for me though with CB's as they sit deep and let the DM's do all the tackling. It's a shame though because Granqvist was club captain and Mr. Reliable. Oh well.

I've pocketed the £6m for the summer and replaced him temporarily for free, so all is good. Unfortunately the vultures are circling on my other 2 up and coming CB's...

I was really in two mind's about leaving but Im not ruling out a move back, tbh i reckon I'll end up back in France, possibly with Bordeaux ? A fitness coach took over from me, Selling Otamendi and Signing Anelka on a free :97: no ambition, pains me to say. I also fancy the look of Germany but lets stick to City just now.

First signing was Salvatore Bocchetti for £17m, bit of a risk but that's what I like.

Hovering around Ashley Cole but 13m+ for a 31 year old kinda rules him out. Ansaldi and Renan are also starters but costing 21M+ each, i know Moneys not really an obstacle but I'm a Tight *.

A good adition to FM11 would be the ability to sell a player quietly imo, I have a player I want rid of but don't want to offer him to clubs or transfer list him as he is a first teamer. If I could go to his agent and ask him to find a potential buyer behind the scenes and avoid all the public stuff that would be great.

that would be a great idea hunskelper, i usually end up unsettling my players when offering them to other clubs

I wouldn't mind that as well Hunskelper. Too many times I just want to put the feelers out and see if there is any interest without ACTUALLY blatantly offering a guy around!!

I'm not clued up on corners, just seems to me not so much to do with setup (as long as your sorted defensively) as the quality of the guy taking the corner and his corner taking stats.

Saying that if you do happen to have a beast in the air like Franco Di Santo :D then you will notice a fair bit more goals - I like the front post flick for my best headerers...

    love a good walk on
dont know if it is the best tactic in the world but it works for me, scored more goals from corners than the next 3 teams put together.

obv have your best corner taker taking the corner, tell them to aim for the back post. have your best player in the air to attack the far post and have other strong players in the air to attach from deep. i then have 2 shorter more skillful players e.g. wingers to either offer short option or near post flick on (one does each of them, takes away defenders from the back post). then i put someone with good long shots to stand on edge of box.

the idea of this is to have as many strong guys in the air being marked by as few defenders as possible, if the ball is cleared by the defence then you have a long shot specialist to hopefully bury the ball in the back of the net.
