At the end of the day,i don't have to explain myself,Celtic as a plc would be worse of without Dermot, there is another plc member that has also put a lot of hard earned cash into Celtic ,but as a hobby not a growing financial concern!:icon_mrgreen:

Both myself and Dempsey have stated numerous times how important DD is to Celtic but we're questioning your figures of him putting in 5-6million per year as under Stock Exchange and Accounting Regulations all related party transactions MUST be disclosed in the financial statements, when I was doing audits it was one of the most important areas that we had to look at.

You are suggesting the PLC are breaking the stock exchange rules and thus risk getting their shares suspended, highly unlikely imo.

    I think you do

You make a claim, cant explain why its not recorded officially and then attempt to take a swipe at me for questioning the apparent inaccuracy in your claim. Now you are sidestepping the issue

I've often been asked on here if I was Dermot Desmond himself because of my staunch support for him and how he conducts himself as a Celtic shareholder then I get this mind bender thrown at me! :56:

ok i dont mind the idea of another talented irish man playing on the slopes of Celtic Park he is a well established centre forward and if Desmond can lure him to Paradise it will be another league and cup double for us but if its not true and doesnt go threw why wont mogga and grant go to europe and south america and scout out some young cheap upcoming foriegn talent just like wim jansen did with henrik larsson £650,000 for 242 goals now thats a bargin!

South America = Work Permit issues for about 90%

Italy, France, Spain, Portugal have different immigration laws to the UK which allows players into their countries with less red tape than its does for the UK. Its a pity that there isnt other strong footballing nations within the commonwealth for the UK to take advantage but then again, Celtic would be out muscled by clubs offering silly money to impressionable kids.

Henrik Larsson was a once off. Never again will Celtic be able to get a WC Bronze Medalist for that sort of money without them having a serious character flaw or injury problem.

did the fans not contribute to the share issue again for lennoxtown like the same fans contribute 25m plus every year on sb and merchandice etc to watch the drivel on the park at the minute.dermot oversaw what happened last year so should take a bit of flak along with others he was on the park at tannadice the year before taking the plaudits.our club is not in a great place at this time need a bit of leadership and investment over to you dermot:rolleyes:

Desmond bought £10M of a £15M share issue, he underwrote the cost of Lennoxtown, nobody else. The rest of that share was used to reduce the clubs debt.

How can desmond control world economics, people go where the money is and it isnt in the SPL. The quality is in other leagues because they can draw talent with money. TV revenue is driving the big football leagues, the SPL's TV deal collapsed this season or did you forget that?

The reason our wage bill is so high is that our players could get the same if not more in a better league. We could reduce the wage bill significantly but that would mean selling Boruc, McGeady, Brown, Fortuné, McDonald, Samaras, Hinkel & Maloney. N'Guemo can be recalled by his club. Thats where the merchandising and the season book money goes, paying for players wages. We could turn a serious profit then to buy players if we got rid of several first team players

The problem with Celtic is the league that it is in, not the people running the club in a self sufficient manner.

I hate this fantasy that some rich person should flog all their money at Celtic for the amusement of the fans. If you were investing your money, you wouldnt do it but you expect it of someone else?

the main hole in this keane to celtic rumour is wages, u really think that our board will fork out enough to buy and entice him to come, no offence but whoever thinks they will must have their head in the clouds:56:

in football never say never. who knows if celtic offer whatever they can say 30k a week or so and if DD makes up the rest along with league and champions league qualification bonus's he could be persuaded. just thinkin all robbie has to his name is a league cup medel.

btw im not sayin he'll sign or i think he will, but i do know himself and harry are not getting along. so i personally think he'll leave if not in january in the summer, however i think aston villa will be where he ends up. hope he comes here though.

we lost the league last season due to lack of investment that was before the collapse of the tv deal did you forget that? our spending wasnt driven by tv money before the collapse (2-3 million a year) .the league we are in is poor granted but it is a two horse race with a 10 to 15m prize guaranteed to the winner with automatic entry to the cl huns showed theyre hand last january dermot sat on his! as for all this emotional garbage from dermot that hoodwinks guys like you a dont buy it.nobodys asking him to flog all his money just to do more and not let last season repeat itself.as for i wouldnt do it if i had his fortune and buisness i promise you i would do it because i have the emotional pull that guys like you believe dermot has.10% of my income goes on celtic home and abroad with no financial return and no complaints.please dont think i dont appreciate dermot but him and his board have * up big style this last couple of years maybe he will have some answers on the 30th if he turns up:rolleyes:

Peter Lawwell runs the club on a day to day basis, not Desmond.

We lost the league last term because our strikers couldnt score in a brothel, lack of investment is a poor excuse as our players were not at the races. Management and players have to take the blame for that.

We are a PLC, Desmond doesnt dictate who is on the Celtic board.

I believe that Desmond has Celtic's best interests at heart, as he said, if he wanted to make huge profits, he wouldnt be bothering with Celtic, he'd put his time and money elsewhere. He doesnt have to be a absolute fanatic to guide the club in the right direction.

Desmond investment in Celtic dropped 50% during the recession. Do you hear him complaining? He's not here to maximize his investment, that should be obvious.

I've seen fanatics run clubs and they have run into problems despite vast sums of money being ploughed into them. How did that happen???
