Reports in Holland suggest Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is attracting interest from the Premier League.
The 30-year-old striker is currently a free agent after leaving Celtic at the end of last season.
It is claimed Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both interested in the Dutch international.
FC Twente are said to have made a move for Hesselink, but it is suggested he is keen on a switch to England's top flight.

Burnley Hull or Stoke would have been ideal moves for him imo, though a doubt stoke would take him now after being so busy signings wise.

I say this because these are teams that love to throw the ball forward using long balls and basically the midfield feeds of the scraps, the little bounces and breaks they get from physical play. When he is on form he can be a nuisance.

A remember when Big Jan had a couple of oppurtunities against Milan for Headers and wasn't confident enough to throw himself at them- or they were slightly out of his reach. But there was also the time when he scored against Barcelona and Threw himself inbetween puyol and milito.

He has the strength to bother defenders imo.

Celtic took a wise decision because he was a solid spl player with the odd european goal in him but he wasn't going to reach the levels of his first season and second seasons in a fourth ( if they kept him on ). Was the right time.

    Some good memories from him

    Good luck mate :bbpd:

I wish him good luck, wherever he goes. One of my fave players in recent years, shame the injuries never allowed him to get into the groove so to speak. Still scored some crucial goals and he showed on more than one occassion that he really loved the club, seemed like a great guy.

Why you even bringing up a player who doesn't even play for us anymore? (Rhetorical) It's a waste of a thread.
