I was in getting me and my brothers bumble bee strips today in the superstore. My brother wanted bobby sands mp 66 on back of his top but the manager would not print it saying they would not print anything political. So I said I appreciate that and asked if he could just get sands 66 then since the obvious political part was taken out (MP), once again we were denied. I was informed that to get sands on the back of your top you need to bring in identification to prove your second name is sands. At this point we were told abruptly to leave the shop and that he will never get that printed on his top. So we headed to JJB aka extension of rangers shop were my brother got sands mp 66 on the back of his top and with a smile. I ended up getting Burns 10 as tribute to Tommy:celt_2::celt_2:. What you thinks about this so called list that bands any controversial names on back of your top????

If you got 'Sands' on your back and the media got wind of it the club would be dragged through the muck backwards through the tabloid press. I don't see a problem with them doing that tbh especially when there's plenty of other places other than Celtic itself you can get lettering done.

aye i agree fully dont want to bring down celtic's name or give the media another excuse to blacken the clubs name but the funny thing is that if u show ur passport and your second name is sands you can get it!!!

Hear, hear mate couldn't agree more. Seen somebody at the game on saturday with 66 on the back and a clear reference to the Ibrox disaster, can't remember exactly what, but remember thinking that was in bad taste. We should leave all this kind of stuff to Scotlands shame, surely we're better than that.

i dont have a problem with people and their political beliefs but not on a celtic top.put your name or someone who has played for the club on your top.leave the other stuff to the huns bcoz thats what makes us better than them.

Not untill this week has anyone came into my store and ask for something "controversial" on the top. Personally i think the policy is a joke but ah well. The most fun i've had when printing is let the people sing and the artur boruc cross lol

i have to agree with celtic shop policy, even though they may loose a sale the consequences could be far greater to the club if tabloids get hold of the story ,all the good work they say they do with regards to racism secterianism and such would be undone and meaningless, and before anyone says its diffrent its a political statment, why not get gordon brown on your top, try to keep celtic about celtic .hail hail

I witnessed someone about 3 or 4 years ago get gibraltar 3 on the back of their top in the celtic shop. Couldnt believe my eyes when the started printing it, to be fair the people working were quite young and i assume they didnt know what it was referring to
