You are saying that <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> McGeady is better than Paddy running at opposition players with the ball? That's what the opening post asks.

Paddy made those defenders look silly with the drop of a shoulder. It'll happen again and again this season. Yet there'll be buffoons like Burley lamenting the defending every time.

McCourt has had two good games and scored two great goals but that doesn't make him better than McGeady.

There is no doubting the talent that McCourt has but until we see what he can do against the better teams, and his fitness levels are proven, then McGeady will be picked ahead of him and rightly so.

McGeady was rounded on for not tracking back, something he has clearly worked on, McCourt needs to do the same.

Neither of them are the finished article, but McGeady is ahead of McCourt imo.

I'm just glad we have such a good mix of wide players available to us.

As for just the one aspect of running at players with the ball then from the little I've seen McCourt is excellent at it.

Being honest i would be tempted to play both of them against the huns maloneys recent performances have been below par he had gd games against st johnstone and aberdeen thats bout it so far. The last month hes been average at best and near invisable in games at times.

why are people using past achievements to judge which player is better?

By that reasoning Stephane Guivarch (ex-Rangers & Newcastle guy) was a better player than Samual Eto'o. He got a World Cup winners medal, so what a player he must have been... forget that he had no ability at all.

In two matches Paddy's shown that hes got more ability than McGeady. McGeady's been trying to skin every player in the opposing team and then score a goal for the past three years, and hasn't even got close, while McCourt done it twice in two matches now.

MCCourt is the better player, definitely deserves a run in the team and then can make a proper judgement after 15 matches or so
