The team is definitely good enough to win the league. That doesn't guarantee much though -- last years' team was definitely good enough too but injuries in the first half and poor performances in the second half let us down.

Europe, on the other hand, is a different matter.

In the first half of the season, bar the OF defeat, we weren't too bad considering our injuries, but the second half of the season was a * disgrace.

I'm in agreement with most, the team are good enough to win the league. But it's up to them to show they can win league. We had more than a decent team to win teh title but we didn't. Up to Mogga to deal wae that prob.

Individually then yes we have the players to win the league but it's too early to say if Mowbray will get those players to gel as a team.

If we get our best players in a system that suits them we can win this league. The orcs are weakened from last year. Just look how theyre trying to say Thomson is like a new 6m midfielder (he cost 1.5m and isnt even in Scotland squad) and Naismith is like a new signing.

By that logic Robson is a new 5m player and Mick a 6m defender

We lost the league last season because we didn't have someone who could stick the ball in the back of the net and the same problem still remains as far as Im concerned! We should have beaten Moscow last week with the amount of guilt edged opportunities we missed that lets face it, school boys would have put away! Our strikers are very poor and are more interested in coming out wide than being in the box and score goals!

Good or not, Huns are in mess. We should use this opportunity, since we haven't last year.

I think that we can win the league with current team. We had our signings (good or not, we'll see) and we got rid of some deadwood and we lost our playmaker. Many changes, but I think new manager will have the most influence on the squad, even more than ins and outs. Mogga is confident and I'm sure that squad will share his confidence and ambition.

Here we go, 1 in a row!

i'm gonna wait for the 1st few league games before making my decision on this one.

i'd like to hope we are good enough though, the huns haven't strengthened their * squad, we have.

Aye agree that we are good enough and im confident as well. I think rangers are a good team (* compared to previous teams) but we are better we know it but i dont think the rangers fans do. But we cant be that great if we ''handed'' them the league. And they cant be that bad if they went and won it

i think we are sound just now ! and given time the team will be playing good stuff when they are fitter and sharper? however i think we need another striker though tbh?

We might get threatened by DUTD or Aberdeen, not by the Huns.

Agreed. We need a quality CB otherwise we are in for a long season I feel.

I don't like this pish that the Huns are pish all the time. it makes us too complacent and that is what cost us the league last year = Complacency

The Huns are a well drilled team, and in Boyd they have a goal scoring machine, that will as ever grind out results
under The Cardigan and with the help of some dodgy refs and linesmen :87:

Mowbray/ Grant and Venus have it all to prove imo

    No Complacency Please :50:

Once again it will all come down to consistency. Not much between top 2 teams as usual and both capable of beating each other on their day.

There will be a very fine line between success and failure this season and either team may just need one little edge over the other to make the difference. I feel we have that edge in the shape of the fresh change in manager and the increased hunger / determination that will bring.
