Again i will state, you said he was told in no uncertain terms that he would not get back into the first team, yet he did, performed well and merited the opportunity to stay in the first team, yet undeservedly lost that place. What does that make of the managers word then if you are sayin that mate, think about it :56:Im sure cuthbert etc were in the reserves at that point and could have came in aswell, so he wasnt really last option.

You remember one game, bravo my son. What about the run to Seville where he was outstanding? Celta Vigo etc where he was a standout? Short memory my friend, I wasnt tightening my * cheeks on the way to seville. I loved the way you dodged how I threw McManus into the equation

Dempsey, go read it over again. I compared the "dont play them if they're leaving" situation with that of Larssons. At which point you tried to say I called Bobo the greatest ever. which I never.

I said it before, I'll say it again. Bobo was the best defender we have for the last 2 years, yet never played. Best ever? never left my mouth....or my fingers mate.

I remember all those game but he did let us down in equal measure to great performances but you seem to be forgetting all his mistakes those which cost us dearly.

Maybe you couldnt see how error prone he was which makes ignorance bliss

I dont think Balde would have been any better than McManus but he was costing us alot more

That is a shocking comment to make, to bring Balde down to McManus' level, thats ignorance my friend. McmMnus would never have dislodged Balde in a fair judgement. He was error prone, but you could argue Boruc is aswell, and the fact is both of them, provide a greater benefit greater to the team, far outweighing their errors.. I must say i am disappointed at how you have tried to say McManus is as good as Balde, Mcmanus has no presence, he cant head the ball, hes slower than Balde and is only of a similar level of technique. Thus my opinion on your views has dramatically fallen.Do you honestly think Bayern etc who were linked with Balde in the past will ever be linked with McManus? Laughable mate :bbpd:

I dont care about your opinion of my views. This is not a popularity contest and see who can get the most people to agree with them! I have my views and unless you can tell me something I dont already know, my mind is made up.

Im not trying to change your mind, nor trying to win a popularity contest, as im sure you would win hands down :icon_mrgreen: lol. You are entitled to your opinion, and i am only merely to educate.

Well thats class finished for today children, remember and do your homework :bbpd:

Then why would you think I'd care about your estimation of my opinion?

I doubt you could educate me on anything worth noting :bbpd:

Mate i never thought you care no said you would care, was only making a comment as you do on a forum. The mere fact, you consider Mcmanus as an equal if not better than bobo, requires some educating my friend, and as i said, class is finished for today, go and do your homework and we will pick this up later.:bbpd:

Bobos gonna get ya :50:.... McManus is gonna ...... pull you down :56:

Balde last played regularly 3 years ago, since then he's broken his leg and had a stomach operation and is now in his mid 30's. If you think that he's the same player as he was under MON, then you are seriously deluded.

One MOTM performance in poor weather where direct/long ball was going to fail against a strong and tall centre back isnt a valid yard stick for his current ability.

Bobo is going to get a P45 and McManus is going to give the armband to Caldwell :50:

Do you think Mowbray will make McManus captain?

whislt Bobo is far from perfect, and error prone McManus makes bobo look like a world beater.

Mowbray has a politically correct opportunity to change captaincy. He'll give it to Caldwell as he was captain for him before and he's improved and gained alot of experience since then plus he's SPL & SFWA player of the year.

I think there he's the only good option for it and McManus will be better for it.

McManus will have to slug it out with Loovens and O' Dea for the other CB spot.

  17. Na mate I was just messing thats all. Trying to lighten the mood by suggesting that it might not happen and you will have egg on your face :84: 'cause lets face it someone is bound to trawl the threads and quote it back at you at some point

I am guessing Caldwell will be given it also.

if you seriously think that mcmanus is anywhere near as good a centre back as balde i honestly think you have very poor judgement. no doubt he was our best ball winner and defender, and a much better passer than given credit for....
