Too late for Given. No need for him unless he wants to sit on the bench again

Would bring a bit of steel and experiance to our defensive side. Could act as a tutor to Wanyama - teach him how to use his physical strength more etc.

Yes. Woodgate was, at one point, on of the best defensive footballers in the world. He'd do brilliant in teaching the rookie that is Wanyama in using his strength.

I think I just puked in my mouth a little. Saying that, Wanyama probably won't be here next season, definitely not the following season.

Woodgate was indeed a fine defender at one point, a player I admired at his peak.

Wanyama, however, could probably give Bobo Balde a good arm wrestling match - I think that says it all tbh.

Pogbrenyak would be incredible, but I can only imagine the wages he's been on for the last 5 years. Still, he'd be exactly the sort of striker we could do with.

Really couldn't disagree more. I've watched him since his time at Zenit for club and country and the guy has a lot of class. He hasn't a great record for Reading this season, but a lot of that has to be down the players around him as well.

I remember being shocked when Pavlyuchenko became the big name after Euro 2008, because he only started ahead of Pogrebnyak because the latter was injured. He was always a much more talented player.

I'd definitely have Pogrebnyak here, however his wages are far too high. Would be a great target upfront and could be used effectively in Europe. Plenty of experience.

What it's not like Bayern have a ridiculous amount of depth at striker or anything..

All 3 being released by Aston villa. Personally I think Dunne could definately do a job for us. Given would be good if Forster goes and I'm not so sure on Ireland. Btw I'm not linking them to us just because they're Irish but it would definately help us in trying to attract them here.

Ireland looked a good player at City.

Never really happened for him at Villa. Someone will snap him up in the premier league.

I'd take Dunne, we need a centre back. Not sure about the other two, Ireland I've never rated that much, though could probably do a job in the SPL, right ned though. Given was one of the best keepers in the EPL, whether or not he's still got it is another question. Either way, he's getting on a bit now and would probably command big wages, wouldn't replace Forster and probably wouldn't be content to just sit on the bench again.
