    I think anyone suggesting that Michael Owen would not be a good signing for us needs there head examined. Not sure how the wage would work. He is on a fair bit but I think he is a Celtic fan? Can anyone confirm that?

    Bit unfair he has been fit for last 3months just not being used , he would easily do a job . My only thing with Owen is unsure if he still has a desire to play he could have left Man Utd in the summer for 1st team footy.

    Personally think he would rather put more time into his horse racing full time .

    I'd take Owen on a free. As for most likely wanting to concentrating on his horse racing. I doubt that as he probably only has about 3 years left in his football career and will have near the rest of his life for horse racing.

    Douglas Franco Teixeira, FC Twente - of the no-nonsense variety, £8 million player, out of contract. Wages would be dramatic, but the sell on value would be quite high.

    Their's a few players at Twente - Glynor Plet, 25, tall, scored 12 goals.
