With us returning to looking at Ibrahim and Sigurdsson maybe we could do the same with Stilic as we have been interested in him a couple of time in the past.

wouldnt say his scoring record is awful. should have really put a ? after I typed his name, more the style of player I would like to see brought in. And of course I'm only going my some footage I've seen but can tell if a player has natural talent and ability from the way he plays and finishes. Should keep in mind there will be some cracking players around that dont grace the biggest teams, leagues, and are getting on a bit. Dare i mention Lubo

Zaha from Crystal Palace. We may not need him, but what a player.

was watching him last night. seems good but still a bit raw, holding onto the ball quite a bit trying to take on too much. He is still young though, 19 I think?

They also said that Crystal Palace Value him at 10 million:rolleyes:

    aye right.

The only place he has ever scored frequently is his current club and at Valencia B. His club are in the second division and who knows where Valencia B were when he was there. He has never performed in the top division from the look of things. Lubo on the other hand was a phenomenal player in Ligue 1 for most of his career, the only reason he was so easy to sign was that he was unsucessful at Duisburg. Rangers can have Guerra as far as I'm concerned.

I suggested stilic cos I think we miss a player who can create opportunities in behind the strikers. Our midfield is excellent but Kayal, Wanyama Ledley Brown are all good at doing the graft, breaking things up etc Ki is our most creative midfielder IMO but he doesnt play in that sort of role like stilic. A playmaking "number 10" if you get what I mean. tbh I cant really comment too much on stilic as I have only seen videos on youtube and read about him, but he does play in that role eh?

with his contract up soon, wanting a new challenge, and always seeming interested in joining us a couple years back I dont think it would be too much of a risk, think he would be good and wouldnt cost much.

If Ki is sold then Id love for it to happen, but dunno what is gonna happen tbh. Looks like we will be leaving our business to late again.

still could be a player though. sure there are cracking players in the lower league in spain who would be streets ahead of the SPL and would relish the opportunity winning medals and playing in europe

If you judge a striker by his scoring ratio then zaha is one of the worst strikers to have ever lived. 6 goals in 74 games.

In 2009 he signed a new contract with Man City, this is when they just started their spending. I bet he is on somewhere near 40K. QPR have made an enquiry about him, and when it comes to finance they will blow us out the water I'm afraid. He would be a good signing no doubt, but for financial reasons it's not gonna happen

Well I only watched him in the Crystal Palace - Cardiff match and I thought he was a midfielder? He was certainly not playing up front.

    Totally agree about creativity

Totally agree about the need for creativity: Our forwards are good but work in isolation, as do our midfield....there is a gap behind the strikers for a creative attacking midfielder...Stillic could be the answer...but another would be Dobbie at Swansea..he has been transformed into an attcking central midfielder and he scores goals and sets up the strikers:celt_2:

What about Matt Tubbs frrom Crawley, he's a guy who knows where the goal and still has something to prove, surely the type of player you'd want in your squad

we should be shooting much higher than a 27 year old league two striker, it would be different if he was 19 but at his age no thanks.

Jonathan Soriano. At 26 he is going to have to leave Barcelona B promptly. Has an impressive scoring record for them scoring 57 times in 81 games he has also been prolific for the Spanish youth teams.

Could be worth a punt if we move Bangura, Murphy and Ras on.
