Grzegorz Sandomierski, young Polish keeper, is a name on lips of many UK scouts at the moment #Celtic #Chelsea #Everton

Graham Hunter hope its true would be fantastic for us if we land him.

I think we all agree we need a big target man. I've made a list of my favourites below (in order of preference.) And we'd miss out on some of these players due to things like wage demands, clubs values of him and interest from other european teams.

    1) N'Doye
    2) Zigic
    3) Janko
    4) Bobo
    5) Zamora
    6) Carew
    7) Berg
    8) N'Gog
    9) Porter

Don't think Chris Porters ever been talked about on here before so I thought I best explain why I think he'd be worth a look at. Hes just been released by Derby so is available on a free and he won't demand a huge wage. He didn't score frequently with Derby, only 9 in 44, however he was only started 25 of those 44 games. Before Derby though, he had a very successful spell at Motherwell, where he scored goals for fun. He's a tall and strong player, whos a proven goalscorer in the SPL... so he fits the bil for what we're looking for. Definetly worth the gamble on a free, if we can't get any of the other players in that I mentioned, or atleast bring him in on a trial to see how fit he is.

Thoughts bhoys & ghirls!? Hail Hail!

N'gog and Berg are not target men.

    Porter * no.

Janko, Zigic, Zamora we couldn't finance moves for any on them.

Have no Idea what kind of wages Carew and Bobo would want?

N'Doye? Who the * this munter?

N'Doyes hardly a munter. He plays for Copenhagen and scored 28 this season to add to his 24 from last season. He consistently scores domestically and in Europe. Hes the big strong target man we've been looking for. Unfortunately are chances of getting him are slim though as hes been linked with a big money move to Blackburn.

I think we could afford the £4-5m needed to bring either Zigic or Zamora to the club, doubt the board would cough it up for a 30 year old though. Agree we probably couldn't afford Janko as Twente payed a fair few bob for him only last summer.

I think Carew and Bobo would demand quite high wages compared to other players at our squad. We managed to pay keanes big wages though so I don't see why we couldn't do it for them. Plus we wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee for them so this would allow us to pay them a bit more in wages and/or give them a big signing on fee.

Yes N'Gog and Berg aren't natural target men but would give us the aerial threat we need due to their height, I also think they would be great playing just behind hooper, flicking balls on to him and they'd chip in with afew themselves.

I only suggested Porter as a player to go for if we couldn't get any of the others. Hes better than Sammy and Murphy, and is proven at this level so I don't see why not!? HAIL HAIL!

I tweeted him and he said that Stipe is obviously in pole position but Sandomierski has a chance. He also said that the deportivo goalkeepers asking price would be too high.

Yeah i've seen a few tweets saying that. For 1/2 million at is a cracking deal for him. Its a shame if he goes to Everton because hes not going to be number 1, and Howard never really seems to get injured so he'll not get much of a chance. I think he needs to more someone for 1 team football to continue his career. Would love us to get him because he'll be a very top keeper for years to come and we could make a smart profit on him in the future.

John Carew, free transfer, 18k a week, 2 year deal would be ideal!
