i would try and sign glen johnson from chelsea to replace telfer and as a centre back i would go for richard dunne of man city or joleyn lescott from wolves who is a solid centre back with a big future in front of him

Right Back - Mark Wilson, if we hadn't been fannying around penny pinching he'd have signed last week and we might still have been in the cup.
Left Back - Wayne Bridge on loan or kevin McNaughton (who can also play right back, center half and midfield)
Center Back - Sammy Kuffour, he's fell out of favour at Roma, or Igor Tudor, can't get a game for Juve and is looking for a move pre-World Cup

    Outside chance: Tudor(loan), Bridge(loan)

No chance of Dunne leaving City

we need a leader at the back to keep the defence solid and working as a unit. would like to see Chimbonda (Wigan) at RB Hyppia or Huth (chelsea) or both at CB Harte at LB....so im not askin for much lol

We wouldn't get Chimbonda or Huth, they are highly rated by their clubs and could get better deals elsewhere. I'd love to get Huth, could be an excellent player for Celtic.

Hyypia is past it and wouldn't be worth it

Harte could be a good player for us but he has his bad days aswell.

Finnan and Carragher make Hyypia look better than he his. He is responsible for alot of Liverpool's defensive errors and goals. European Cup was last season and it will be next season before Hyypia would be here, so my arguement stands, he'll be too old and not worth the money(wages + fees)

    Right Back: AGATHE!!!
Left Back: Needs good money spent on an experienced defender. For me McNaughton and Hammel aren't of the standard we should be looking at.

If we get these two positions right we won't be far away. We have a team more than good enough already to win the league and cup double if GS just plays them in the right positions - eg. not playing Pearo on the left wing and then moving him full-back as we push for a goal. What was all that about?

dempsey i agree in part but i still think hyypia is a good defender but i dont think we should go for him fee+wages to much and your right carragher behind terry is the second best centre back in england

We supposedly went in for Nigel De Jong and he said he didn't want to move to us.

It's amazing how certain fans can be so easily fooled, money tight my *. We need some serious money spent on our defence soon or we'll get laughed out of Europe again and might not win the league, We've got the best fans in the world look at how much we shelled out on Share issues and season tickets etc, we are being taking for mugs and short changed. Come on Celtic fans stand up for yourselves and don't be doormats. We deserve better than free transfers and players from lower leagues, we'll just end up with more dodgy players if we have this mentality. Stop being Sheep too scared to say anything COME ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we should try wayne bridge for left back..hes worked with GS before and is 3rd chocie left backa t Chelski. For centre back I wouldnt mind if we got Pique in on loan for Man U..he is young, quick and fast on the ball ..he even kept the mighty Burton Albion strikers at bay. For right back I would give Agathe a chance and Glen Johnson isnt allowed 2 leave on loan so that wont happen. We should try for Sammy Kuffour at centre back in summer
