    Reid

    Steven Reid saying in today's Irish Independent that he is on the way out of Blackburn.

    Any reason as to why we can't get someone like him in? Ok, had some chronic injury problems but has bags of talent, love to see him in the hoops.

    I think he is quality as well, always thought he could do better than Blackburn.

    Duno bout his injury probs, if he is injury prone I'd rather he stayed away, we got enough of them at the mo.

    I believe he is out of contract at St Mirren and Macpherson who signed him up is gone.

    He can find the back of the net from midfield..... :39:

    This guy is just back from a long term injury, maybe we could get him for much less than the €9 Arsenal & Bayern were quoted;

    Agree Reid is a good player. Unfortunately i think hes finished. Shame though he would have been terrific had he not got all those injuries.

    My first choices for a new box to box midfielder.

    Steve Sidwell - I would push the boat out for this guy he is out of favour and can go at the right price. To be honest I think he has the potential to be a Celtic legend.
    Gylfi Sigurdsson - 20 goals this season all in for Reading in centre midfield. An is only 20 years old and at 6"1 he is quite a tall centre midfielder. Would take him in a second.
    Joe Ledley - Free transfer would well be worth a punt. Great age at 23 and could score potentially double figures from midfield.
    Reo-coker - might be too pricey but again is out of favour and is aloud to leave Aston Villa. Would make a good captain and would be a good anchor man. Would rather him than N'Guemo.

    If we had the chance to buy any of them and didnt we would have missed the boat bigtime.
