Has anyone heard/does anyone know for definite if the £2million compensation will be coming off any transfer funds being allocated to the manager?

I'm assuming West Brom despite thier EPL parachute payments into the championship will want the £2million up front not in staged payments.

Or is this a separate figure?

Glad the board got the finger out and have done enough, it seems.

Welcome Tony, looking forward to your reign.

Peter Grant also, Celtic to the core.

Bring him on ,,and please please Please welcome our new manager this time ..,,,Pls...

His transfer record, like most managers, is mixed; for every Rob Jones there was an Yves Ma Kalambay. Signing the right players is one area that is going to be crucial to his success at Celtic and, as a result, the aspect of personal development that should be top of his list.

A Sad Day at the Albion

Please, please, please.....Do not try to convince Albion fans that a move to Celtic is a move to a 'Better football Club'...Celtic would. I believe struggle in the Championship.:31:
Ok I concede that the lure of Euro football may be irresistable, however loyalty is still a treasured quality....If Celtic managers were to offered jobs at...Man U....Real Madrid...Barca...Chelsea...etc you would accept the 'reality' but abhor the suggestion of 'a move to a better club'...West Brom have a long and proud history....My father grandfather etc were fans so my ties are as strong as yours...So do not patronise our irritation....If Celtic and West Brom played once per year over the past 100 years...we both know who the win to loss table would favour.....yes ...the Baggies:47::47:

    HAHA wat a tosspot!!

Same old * again from English fans with their big heads and massive egos. Personally I would not ever want to see Celtic in the Championship...it is overated and generally very poor. A bunch of average teams who are miles away from EPL standard. Thats why every team taht gets promoted has to go and spend 20 mil on 11 new players.

And secondly the if Celtic played in the Championship, they'd win it with flying colors. Its quite simply, the really good championship players (thats like 1 or 2) go to the EPL for overinflated sums of money, then the best of the rest comes to Celtic or Rangers. If the chmapionship was better, then wud it not be the other way around,...with our best players coming to you!! No....you only get our rejects like Craig Beattie, Adam Virgo and Chris Killen!!

Also it goes to show how much a joke your FA must be to name the First Division the CHAMPIONSHIP. I was laughing for weeks when they first came up with that. Idiotic and brings nothing different to your league HAHA.

Celtic are a world wide supported club with a long history, plenty of trophies, Championships, European cup etc.
Not to mention that they hold the record for the most fans traveling to an away European tie, Seville for the 2003 UEFA final, which en route we beat Blackburn Rovers & Liverpool to reach the final.

All your points are laughable, Celtic are by far a bigger team in terms of history, support & relevance in football.

I admire your commitment to your team & its history, but you are delusional if you believe West Brom to be a bigger team than Celtic.
