Season Tickets And The Manager

I am thinking that this is getting drawen out due to many not renewing season tickets. Me personally i have renewed mine regardless but when i was at the Hearts game a couple of weeks ago i was told that the renewal date had been extended, down to many having second thoughts. Again many will be waiting to see who we get cause it has crossed my mind if we got someone i really disagreed with i.e McGhee. I just couldn't do that, its built in now and its part of me.

I think that the situation is "wait till people have no time to renew and the only option will be to renew then bang!!!! we'll give them McGhee" I might be wrong and this is just pure speculation like a lot on here.

Anyone else thought this? Whats your views??

 

I think the board know who they want and will make an appointment sometime next week but it had better not be McGhee or there will be a good few fans not renewing their books.

I didn't think you had to renew your season ticket, it gets renewed automatically if they don't hear from you. If you want to cancel your seat you notify them. So it take it the people who are having second thoughts have cancelled coz if they haven't they will be automatically renewed anyway????????

 

I heard only 35,000 had sold out of the 53,000 allocated for season books, people are obviously holding back to see who gets appointed

 

People can wait as long as they like...if they dont think anyone else will buy the ticket. If they are in doubt then its simple...dont buy it

 

Even if it is McGhee the fans will still buy the tickets imo. Once a signing is made that the appeals to the fans they will be there.

 

But surely if it is Mark McGhee there will be no BIG signings. If the board appoint someone of McGhees calibre then its for one reason only , tight budgets , Bosmans etc . All rather worrying really as it would just prove what we already know that behind the scenes we talk BIG but really we have no ambition whatsoever. Still say that if we really wanted a well respected manager badly enough i.e top wages and a reasonable transfer kitty we could get someone no problem. This appointment will tell us just how big the board really think we are. Please dont let us down (again)

 

why no big signings because of McGhee? If hes got the money he may well buy well

 

I reckon there is a problem with Season ticket renewals caused by a combination of the economic situation, disapointment with the outcome of the season just gone and the lack of a new Management appointment being announced. I honestly think that given all of these factors, the delay in securing a new Manager is the last thing the Club needs right now. I renewed my season ticket by the 1st deadline date of May 15th.

 

Could I be extremely cynical and say that it was the endorsement from Gordon Strachan that made many people decide they hated McGhee?

You can cancell your season ticket anytime all you need to do is stop paying it . If you cancell before the 19 of June you wont pay anything because that is the date of the first installment.

 

McGhee was touted by loads of fans as Strachan's replacement only a season ago

Dont think its the WGS link that creates apathy with McGhee at all, just think the guy has a less than inspiring record

 

How come everyone got very excited over Swansea's manager then. I heard they all got nosebleeds when they got promoted to the championship

 

Martinez is a young guy in the early throws of his career that plays flowing attacking football and seems to get the best out of players.

McGhee is now I suppose a relatively experienced manager who's managerial career has went down the way over the years, I can understand peoples apathy towards that.

 

McGhee was championed as Strachan's successor by many only 12 months ago

 

And probably ridiculed by just as many, all about opinions.

Would u be happy with that appointment?
