    Your 20 years old. You're dubbed as the best player to ever live already. You're playing for Barcelona and you're on 80k a week. You're playing 1st team football week in week out with the likes of Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Xavi ect, and you have just won 4 trophees, scoring 60 goals in one season, including the winner in the champions league final.

    The season ends, and Celtic hear of your love for the club. They offer you 30k a week. What do you do? Do you cut your wages down to 30k, go from playing teams in Spain and CL football to playing in the SPL against the likes of Falkirk?

    No as you are only as good as the players you play against.

    I don't think it would be about the money more about playing the best.

    Yes! You're only 20 enjoy being one of the Bhoys for a few years, then make the club alot of money by being transferred to Madrid or Milan for silly money, then get into drink and drugs and sheep, loose your form, get offered back to celtic for peanuts, rediscover your form, get sold to Manu or Liverpool for silly money, rinse repeat!

    As * as it sounds I'd do exactly what Roy Keane did. What's the point in handicapping your career by playing in a footballing backwater when your the best in the world at what you do. You can move to Celtic when your at the tail end of your career and still plenty good enough.

    And I'd imagine I'd be a multi-millionaire by the time I'm in my 30's, so I'd play for Celtic for free.

    Edit: If I'm the best player ever, aged 20, and absolutely vital to Barcelona, where are Celtic getting the 100 million from to buy me?

    At only 20 you have about another 10 years at the top of your game. So to play for Barca for 10 years - or at any other top European club - then make a move to Celtic when you are still in great shape and form, but have earned enough cash, won enough trophies, etc to do you for life.

    If we were in the Premiership it might be a different story but in the SPL? Waste of a player really.

    You play SPL football for a year or so and toughen up before returning to barca to become champions of europe again.

    I would certainly move to Celtic at some point of my career. Even if I was 35, I'd play only one season for my favourite club.

    don't see that calibre of player opting for the SPL and as for when he is over the hill a la Keane, let him go on someone elses scrap heap. I mean what Keane do for Celtic?

    I'd have to go to celtic,for me to pull on the hoops and run out against the huns or even killie,motherwell etc would cause a greater feeling than winning any trophy for barca.just to say that ive played for my beloved club would be great.

    I would stay at Barca until I hit my peak (27/28) with over 30 million in the bank, I would give Celtic my Best years for nowt.

    Can't decide. Obviously playing with Barca would be amazing, but imagine being one of the best players on the planet and playing in the hoops...ripping the pish out the huns every time you play them. The stuff dreams are made of that is.

    hard one.

    possibly put in into my contract that i get my move to celtic when i'm 28. giving them my peak years.

    possibly prefer to move earlier, say around 25, but another 3 years would really set you up as a rich rich man.
